State of the Game ?
Maybe the people that did it got tired of the game and went on to more productive things, like licking paint.
Grouch got hired by anet though.

GW2 Guru was the one who did sotg though, and I doubt they got tired of the game :P

Perhaps Grouch did a lot of the leg work and since he’s got other obligations they simply don’t have the organization to pull it off. Plus ANet may be less willing to do the SotG stuff in favor of thier more ‘hand-on’ approach to the forums (which has yet to be hand-on at all…).
1. When Will the Leaderboard and Solo Q be fixed ? Never.
2. When will the Achievements points be brought into line with Pve/Wve. Never.
3. When will Spvp be rewarding ? Never.
What happened to this ? I did Enjoy watching this and getting to know upcoming features/fixes that would be happening . I have some Questions to post :
1. When Will the Leaderboard and Solo Q be fixed ?
2. When will the Achievements points be brought into line with Pve/Wve
3. When will Spvp be rewarding ?thanx
Why in the world would you ask such questions? They are incredibly bad and have been asked a thousand times, there is a reason they have not been answered.
The reason SOTG is no more, because people kept asking the same questions over and over again, which made the show pointless. Another reason my be the enormous loss in the PvP playerbase aka. not worth it.

I rather enjoyed state of the game at first, but as it went on the “demeanor” of the show seemed to change. Some of the “Pro” players would ask questions or make statements that would get very little response from the devs during the cast. I am not saying the Devs would sit their and be silent, but you started to hear very canned responses…
“We are aware of this happening but…”
“We are going to work on this…”
“We are working on something but can’t say anything…”
It almost makes me wonder if this is why SoTG is not happening any more. These type of responses were very “safe” responses that never would really answer, or even offer any true insight, towards the questions or statements made by the players. Some times you would see a player continue to dig for an answer, obviously showing some sort frustration in their face while they figure out how to use this time to get some kind of answer, and have the devs follow with “You’re right. It’s something that should be addressed” and the topic is dropped.
I always felt the show was intended to give more clarity on exactly what was happening in the Dev scene, but answers seemed very much similar to what you would find in the forums. Dev’s always seem to play their cards so close to their chest because they don’t want to get anyone excited for something that may not work. Because of that, the show started to get very stale and just turn into a vent fest with very little “insider” insight that I would think the Devs were their to facilitate. The least they could do is say something “unofficial” and offer their two cents on what they feel should be tried, if nothing was in development towards a questions / statement. Rarely they would step out and say things off the cuff. Anything would be better than “We are aware of this happening but…”

I liked the show, but that was primarily because it served as a balance preview from the devs. Balance changes have been so hush hush from the devs lately. =(
However, it seems like a lot of coverage of PvP has been fading. Look at the forums and following from IntoTheMists.com (http://forums.intothemists.com/index.php?/forum/38-tournaments/).
You used to be able to easily find all of the builds the top players were using in tournaments, but it seems like those don’t get posted much anymore.
The PvP community really needs some life breathed into it.
Steppenwolf was the one that took it over however he has been MIA for a few weeks now due to his internet acting up. I believe thats why it hasnt happened recently.
