Heard Ranger pets getting sturdier with same leash range and still heat-seeking.

Missed thief Q_Q cued in on thieves getting some kind of Arcane thievery?
Just make rtl being affected by slows.40 sec cd is way too much thats gonna change so many things especially in anything other than a small pvp much.
Maybe split the skill in pve/wvw so that a mesmer with traited blink doesnt move faster.
Pretty much any class with a 600 range leap on current cds will roam faster
Im not crying about the incoming nerfs..i just think that this one is a but too much especially across the board on all game mods.

Does someone have a summary? Didn’t want to watch cause my favorite map Temple of the Silent Storm… I need to play it. ;-) To get ranking up which I lost from the other maps before that I didn’t like.
Also rangers… lol how do they get buffed? I think they are pretty annoying already with the right pet and if they are kiting a lot.

Why is the Reveal debuff staying 4 seconds in PvP but back to 3 seconds in PvE and WvW when the change was caused due to WvW Culling from Thieves???

New meta will not have blocks because blocks will be useless with the upcoming signet buffs.
Only professions that dont need blocks to stay alive will be on the next meta…

they are actually nerfing focus by making air 4 not blocking treb shots :P
I was expecting that i would hear nerfs for ele and buffs for other classes which pretty much was the case except perhaps of the thief which im not sure..but about build diversity on ele its pretty much bunker now..or s/d arcanes burst with a hope that some time conjures will get reworked.
Ah and the lightning version of glyph of storms that hits 0.10 targets per cast(no joking) will last longer..
From an ele perspective: back to uselessness.
I read somewhere they were reducing the ele’s healing signet passive heal, did anyone catch it? How much?
Im kind disapointed about Rangers..Buffing pets in toughness-vitality wont put more viable builds in the table.They mention some more reliabilty in meele pets.I want to see how the F2 skill will now work but still we had a pretty good bunker-beastmaster build..Still the Longbow is useless and still we must rely on conditions to do some dmg
This month’s patch theme is nerfs to every class, except warriors who got some awesome buffs (grats to them btw). Also what were the changes to thieves, I missed that one
Thieves Mug trait can no longer crit but will have a ~2k heal attached to it.
Thief S/D Flanking Strike ability will have better tracking and have a second ability attached to it. The second ability will steal several boons from the target (with duration and stack).
Edit: they also mentioned that Thieves base stats were too low which is why Thieves rely so much on power/crit.

The boon thievery is a nice touch, though. I hope they eventually allow them to be shared with a group.

Corrupt boon and Epidemic are unblockable. Some Necro minions getting a health buff. New necro only condition usable only in death shroud (don’t think it’s coming this patch but they mentioned it).

ye its gonna be pretty big, speacially because those 2k heal dont really mean much, just like caed said. but the s/d changes sound good and i like where they’re heading with the class.

its not like everyone is gonna start only using signets, and its also not like engies arent in a string position right now.
the rtl nerf is not that bad, if you hit with it the cd is the same so i guess its far, specially with what they say.
Most of the changes mentioned sound solid, I like most of them.
The warrior buffs are nice, they will probably help out a lot. BUT it forces you to go 10 down Defense to get the resist chills/cripples, and then forces you to go 30 down Discipline to get the new boon hate. It does not seem to address the issue that some weapon choices for the warrior are flat out sub-par for PvP (although every profession it seems have this).

All Engineers have is one OP trait (HGH) being used a crutch to hold the class back from the edge of the abyss, which will now be hard countered by thieves and warriors.
I fail to see how that is a “strong place”.

and how is having an hard counter bad? before they didnt really have any hard-counter and this might give warriors a place back in the meta. Hgh engies will still be more than able to do their job imo.

Because a single skill (the boon steal on the new Mug) has the ability to make an entire class unviable (by stealing the HGH might stack crutch).
Show me another skill that can do that?
There are somethings that need to be fixed and others that need to be balanced.

Pretty safe bet that Thieves use Mug just a wee bit more often than Mesmers use Arcane thievery….

No they remove the entire stack and the mesmer gains the entire stack.
To the other poster mug won’t be removing boons it’ll be S/D. Mesmers not running it and existing are two different things. Thief boon removal on steal has also existed since beta but post-haste nerf the damage loss for taking it is rather severe…engis are still alive. If the boon removal mattered so much mesmers would run arcane thievery as a response to the meta. Even taking boon removal engis have been difficult due to needing to reposition yourself generally or getting nuked in elixer s. Which is a pretty significant change which will likely have significant effect on the engine itself.
Mesmera not taking it and it existing are two different things. As well mug will not be removing the boon. It’ll be flanking strike on S/D.
Also why would engis need to be “compensated” as a result of them trying to bring up underpowered utilities as if they took something from the engine wtf.

Also, s/d eles in general will have a harder time getting close enough to get fire skills to actually hit (offhand dagger skills, Phoenix due to slow travel speed, the best way to give Dragon’s Tooth a CHANCE to hit is to follow up with Earthquake or Blowout, unless you take Signet of Earth for some insane reason).
(My greatest gripe is that scepter/dagger 0/20/0/30(20)/20(30) Berserker is pretty much the only ele build that offers decent ranged damage while retaining solo capability, and its survivability was hit pretty hard with these modifications. (Scholar runes and Vital Striking lose their damage bonus if you take about 1.5k damage, which is pretty much always in 1v1s, so yeah.))
The Cleansing Water nerf really only hurts staff and Glyph of Elemental Harmony users.
Truly, these were the changes required for elementalists.

The Cleansing Water change hurts the D/D bunker build a lot, because you get regeneration from switching to Water as well as whenever you use a cantrip, which is four condition removals from it. Now you really have to space those out to get them all.

It’s a 5 second internal cooldown, not even as notable as the nerf to Soothing Disruption in an earlier patch. Now if you use a Cantrip within 5 seconds before or after switching to water, you lose out on the removal of a single condition.
Cantrips should never be used solely for condition removal, anyway (aside from Cleansing Fire, obviously).
