Stealth in Pvp
Could someone explain stealth a little better to me. I would go in stealth, and still be hit by single target auto attacks(i.e. Ranger ShortBow). I wouldn’t be directly in front of them, but off centered and their toon would still do that auto adjust to hit my char as if I had been visible and targeted. I feel like damage in stealth should only come from AOE and existing conditions and to my understanding that’s what is was
thieves haters and stealth QQers are more than any good player that knows how to counter stealth properly and how this ability is so underperforming in tPvP, hence thieves will be nerfed patch after patch even if they are a mid\low tier class in the current meta and QQers will never be happy anyway.
the only buffs that thieves received this patch were actually fixes that required 1 year to be fixed.
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!
It sounds like you were being targeted by a channeled ability before going into stealth. Maybe like a ranger’s rapid fire, which will still hit you if they started it before you went into stealth. It’s been that way forever i think, and there really arnt that many long lasting channels in this game.
i more hate how pets/clones still attack you in stealth sometimes, so annoying :/

Thieves are not out of phase with the world when they hide. They are still there.
Stealth breaks and prevents targeting, so it should break channeling of single-target skills (e.g. Arc Lightning) and make single-target skills (e.g. Flamestrike) fail if they finish their activation after stealth.
But anything else should hit thieves if they are in the area or trajectory of the attack.
That includes both AoEs (including melee cleaves, of course), and projectiles.
In this case, it was a ranger with a shortbow. And that means projectiles.
If you are in line of an arrow, don’t expect avoiding it because you are hidden.
The ranger can’t see you, but that doesn’t mean you are not there. They can still activate their skills and fire arrows without a target.
Guild Wars features action combat. Meaning that you won’t dodge because something rolled that you dodge. You have to move away from the attacks.
You are not out of phase with the world. You are merely not visible.
im willing to bet you’re being hit by channeled attacks like rapid fire, if they begin the attack before you stealth the attack will stil hit you, like duelist phants firing or slow moving ranged attacks will still hit you cause the attack began before you stealthed.
