Still no new PvP modes?
did you know that dota2 just got an “infinite amount” of game modes? players can create their own game modes now with a mod kit. wish we could get this for gw2 aswell…. all the possibilities… GvG, HA, cptf, everything you could wish for…

I agree since anet doesn’t care about pvp, they should at least give players the tools to create their own maps, game modes etc like in other games, custom arenas would make a lot more sense that way.

PVP players: “Anet only cares about PVE!”
PVE Players: “Anet only cares about PVP!”
WvW Players: “Anet only cares about PVP and PVE”
Funny thing about that is that I haven’t heard anyone say they only care about WvW…but you get my point. I’m pretty sure it’s been mentioned in a few different places (mostly outside interviews) that they are working on a new pvp mode but it’s not in a place where they could talk about what it is yet or when it would release. So they threw us a bone, but we probably aren’t going to hear more about it until it’s closer to being done or they want our input.

Thats not what anyone says. Whateveryone says is “they only care about living world”. The dungeon/fractals community says that, the wvw community says that, the spvp community says that.
Aside from that, no there are no new game modes. At the rate that gw2 delivers player-desired content, you can expect another game mode perhaps in 2014? Maybe early 2015. You can expect to probably never see GvG in the way the players want it. You can expect 2 more years until we see a new profession. 1 more year until we see new weapons and new weapon/class combinations added to the game.
Its sad but its true.
Are we really sure there is not a Deamatch PvP Map in the custom Arenas ?
Because if there is , i havent seen ANY PETION in these months to bring it on the soloque-teamque ……
Or ppl can try it out there…….
Edit: Dont anyone say that the map is too huge , or it has too many LoS ….
Atleast you can hide from long range attacks and zergs-meele trains ….
I dont see any whine on the WoW Panderian Arena , where is has high ground to escape also + collums LoS …

I’m literally amazed that in the past some odd years of running the same maps, same modes in rotation in tpvp/spvp, no one’s gone crazy or started a serious petition to add more into the rotation.
I just can’t believe it at times – it’s incredibly funny (and sad).
