Hello this is Crysis, one of the few and the proud warriors left, upon qing I receive some of the most vulgar comments and a great deal of people believing that I’m trying to throw games to lower my mmr by simply playing warrior! For some us, warrior is all we play, if it could be possible for some of you (meta folks) to accept that and stop blaming every lost pip on us we’d greatly appreciate it. I know that it may not make sense to most of you but us warriors try as hard as possible to find a single viable build and if that means ending up with a lb rifle warrior on your team please find the patients to not go directly to the report button but rather give helpful suggestions. Maybe one day the devs will look at the warrior forum page, AND NO IT HASN’T BEEN DELETED!… yet… If your ever having a bad day just wander of over there and you will see that it could always be worse.

It’s ok crysis I know that feel, I have (or well had) higher mmr and I played guardian in ranked play cause I love it (be it normal guard bunk or DH) and I would get reported by some esl players playing mesmer and revenant. If you see someone playing guard, warrior or thief. Just let them have their fun and kitten off with your esports reve/mesmer. If you don’t want it to happen, make a premade with only revenants and Mesmer’s and bam you will be espurts.

Still running the (meta) for the class just I’m not playing the only 2 viable classes known as mesmer and revenant

IMO he deserves no sympathy.

If he only plays Warrior, then the MMR will balance out where he can perform competently on Warrior. No need to point fingers.

The irony here is that we can still outplay the OP classes due to mechanical skill. But a lot of the new mechanics carry hard.
So many times I bait double dodges and eviscerate for like 1k due to some passive protection/weakness proc. GG counterplay.

I do not think I have been reported for playing warrior yet. I have had several players proclaim a loss before the match has started and then when we win, they are silent.

its not like warrior is a useless class just because its not top of meta. People can still play it, and it can still be troublesome.

Don’t blame the players,blame the game itself.Players want the best professions in order to get the wins they need.What this means is you need to pick the “meta” or at least something strong.Warriors are not there so just accept it.

Arena net didn’t care about it,so it’s not players fault trying to elitism.

I feel this as a thief too no matter how godlike you play, no matter how hard i have tried to carry by getting fast decaps and killing people in a team fight. THE PEOPLE will always use you as the excuse as for why they lost, and it feels bad :‘(. or you get some idiot reaper telling you you spam 5 on staff when you are trying to evade all there kitten that will one/two shot you when you only hit him for tiny dmg compared to what he does to you. Honestly i’m doing well on my thief but it makes when i do lose suck even more :’(.

Underperforming in the hands of kittenters yes, Crysis, on the other hand, is an actual warrior, and knows how to wreck people with it. In fact, just watching him play makes me think it doesn’t need to be buffed; however, it’s not even CLOSE to how faceroll Rev/Bunk mes/Tempest/DH/Reaper/Scrapper is.

In all seriousness, if you are in the most competitive game mode, you should be actually trying to win. If your favourite class doesn’t make the cut either keep to lower competitions or switch. Please do point out its broken on the forums, but don’t be shocked that you upsetting people when you intentionally handicap your team.

Speaking of team, its a team game. You can continue playing the victim all you want, but if you are hurting 4 other players then I don’t see why you are surprised by their response.

The whole banning people is going too far, the balance is kitten atm and weird stuff is happening so everyone is probably on edge in pvp. But when I, being the social (ignores laughter from those who know me) person I am, want to test builds out or learn a class or use something that won’t last a second in the current meta or anything that might hurt my fellow players, I take my issues to hotjoin maybe followed by unranked.

Edit: I would think that an experienced pvp like others on this thread vouch for you as would grasp these concepts. If you are good enough to win as warrior at the leels of the broken classes, then you don’t need validation of your teammates. The reporting is a completely bullkitten move by Anet to cover up for their design mistakes.

I get it, if someone is playing a bunker thief or clearly not contributing to the team, they should switch, but telling a person that you will report them because their whole class is obsolete? You’re the one I’ll report for verbal abuse.

I have the exact same thing on my Thief lol.. Getting toxic thrown at my face before the match even starts and then carrying the game.. So sad.

Warrior has the best rez skill in the game, the battle standard banner. Warrior can also bring lots of cc, which makes them a decent counter to necromancers (once their pulsing stability is over) and revenants while they are in mallyx stance where they have 0 stun breaks. Still can use some buffs for sure.

Battle standard is a shell of what it used to be. It doesn’t even give stability like it used to do. I would argue that the well that gives blur is better because no one will take damage while you rez. Plus battle standard’s 240sec CD, gets you maybe 3-4 uses in a game if you use it off cd.
Most the time people get rezzed and immediately die to the AoE that was placed on their body.
Not to mention if the person is too far down banner does not rez.

I know but the post wasn’t about that.
I posted because of the toxicity everyone seems to love throwing around for people playing w/e they want to play.

I do play my Thief less but when I do, toxic is real.

Toxicity is not a natural way for a person to behave in 90% of cases. What creates toxicity is the medium. ANet is responsible for that medium

If you’re getting a game with crysis, he has played to your tier and is doing well enough that you guys wont have to carry him, he is at your level. So don’t blame him, this MMR work currently is the best it’s been, that being said the people that spammed games att he start and are now diamond get 1 hour long queues because there arent very many high tier players like that yet.

MMR is working and if you get crysis in a 30s qpop he is playing to that tier and doing it well, stop complaining.

The hate is real even if i win a match I still get trash talked. If I win a 2v1 “hahah nub run more” If I lose in a 3v1 “delete the game” Even in my last game I owned this druid like 3 times in a row and he kept trash talking. O and god forbid if my team losses the game even if I’m in top place, they blame the lost on the easy target aka warrior. The game is just not fun anymore. You want to pvp on hard mode? just roll warrior.
