why is there ascended materials and items in spvp rewards

unless your planning to completely do away with sat normalization they are utterly pointless you cannot trade them or use them in pvp

if people actually want ascended iems they will run fractals or wvw or pve to get them areas of the game where they are actually useful

why are players who pvp having their rewards reduced to pump out this trash? that they cant even use.

either put all ascended rewards into their own title track separate from the others or remove them

this was a problem before the new reward system went live with daily and monthly rewarding pvp crafting materials that could not be used due to the removal of glory, that were then taken from players with no compensation, get it together anet seriously

its not a difficult concept, you even seemed to understand it once;

reward players for their time spent in an activity with rewards linked to that activity

not things that are worthless

I like the new rewards, except when I get “Rock”. Great update and love the reward track. I play about 90% PvP but being able to get those items need to craft ascended gear is great because I do run some dungeons and WvW with my guild each week and its neat that I have a opportunity to gear up like they do with my work in PvP.

For a second there i thought the title meant stop rewarding bad players, to which i completely agree

the biggest thing i think sucks is that the loot is based on your characters level,
get a chest on your 80? you might get exotics, i’ve even had an ascended ring,
get a chest on an alt? you’ll get a bunch of low level garbage.

do we really need to level all of our alts up to 80 in order to get decent rewards if we play them?
or even if we can open the chests on our 80 it still means we need to jump through the hoops of zoning and relogging multiple times to pass it over, loading screens, loading screens, loading screens.

I’ve actually been getting some nice rewards. I’ve gotten 2 pieces of ascended armor (sadly with stats I don’t really need as a Warrior -_-) and a ring. That being said, it would be nice to be able to get ascended armor with stats you actually WANT. Many players, myself included, have no interest in grinding for ascended armor so having a way to earn it via PvP would be nice. Perhaps they could make the reward track only progress on TPvP wins or something like that.

You can either let the chests stack on the bottom right and open them later on your 80, or deposit them to your bank and open them all at once.

Whoa people get ascended items? :/
The most I’ve gotten was one exotic.. I’ve opened to my best estimate around 200 chests.
(Judging by the amount of skill points)

PvE players must have better Magic find :/ Mine’s at 82%

unfortunately this will never happen as they are keen to monetize people with no skill (see glory removal) and the continual lack of anything being done about people rank farming or skyhammer etc show how much they care about esports atm

Completely agree! In fact, lets remove levels completely and just set the base level to 1, so that you never ever have to level. Ever! Then you wouldnt get level appropriate gear from your reward boxes because there would only be one level!

imo hardcore pvper usually doesnt care for rewards, may be leaderboards, but not so much for chests.

if s’one playes pve too, then these rewards are good. for instance i uplvled with tomes a lot, and was always short of gear for going out in world.
