- I am not as brainless as a DH trap guard.
- I am not such a powerful monkhealer as druidù
- I am not a thief who dps ppl to 30% and uses the elite skill to stomp ppl
- I am not a chronomancer who put ppl in a circle, removing their stability and letting them fly in the air.
- I am not a reaper necromancer who got unlimited stability and 2 lives.
Pvp is about fun. It doesnt have to be always META. Stop the fuzz about how bad war is in pvp.

Medi trapper definitely isn’t meta. It never will be due to the damage being able to be canceled with one dodge. Any person still running warrior due to it being their main and favorite class is most likely more useful than any kittened form player that didn’t want to faceroll mesmer and decided to faceroll guard and die over and over and over and over. Just ignore players giving you kitten about warrior in pvp.

It’s quite simple why the warriors and thieves are out of place atm. If you’d watch any of the ESL / League matches you will notice it’s not about pure dps anymore. It’s about bunkering the kitten out of your enemy while every player has a role of SUPPORT, if not heal, then boon-wise. The only reason warriors and thieves are out of any meta team is because they do not give as many boons/heal as other classes can atm.
The damage is still viable and fine, it just lacks support and boons.

Xiuras, if I were to take you on my team, what role would you fill? I can manage to fit a ranger, a guardian, an engineer or even a thief in my team, because they all give me an advantage that is either unique (thief mobility), or close to another profession (druid is not far from tempest in term of role). Warrior offers none of this: it’s a poor team fighter, a poor 1v1 point fighter, and a poor decapper. Maybe for a Spirit Watch comp…
If winning isn’t a large portion of what you consider fun please don’t queue for rated thanks. There are other avenues for I want to do whatever I want type players ie unranked and hotjoin. And yes Warriors suck.
Funny… some condi warrior berzerker with CC can kill most meta build.
They simply need to comp with builds that are not meta (because high level players find it easier to abuse REV OPness).
A burn and CC comps with 2 berzerker can progress on the league with breeze… people don’t expect 10k burns a tick. All conditions AOE cleanses bunker are dead (except some tempest that don’t play standard with Soldier runes).

I fought a warr using old spec, and he kicked my kitten , his attacks were well timed and faster than my cast times for most of my skills. Warrs are deadly in the right hands.

I’ve had a party with two warriors against a premade, likely because they had MMR tankers with them.
So while the class does underperform it’s really tactics and coordination that matter most with skill up there too. Mechanics matter since the superior class should win if both players are equally skilled but down here in the emerald gutter class doesn’t matter as much as the top tiers.

yeah, i got most of my pips as playing casually on my warrior.
i’m 9/25 emerald btw. highest i reach was 9/25 emerald anyway.
of course, when i said playing my warrior casually, i also meant playing carefully. i avoid swimming in hot blazing aoe while i keep the point burning 24/7 somehow they eat up all the burns and my other team mates finished them off nicely.
must be the emerald gutter at work here.

warrior hammer is my favourite weapon in the game, well second to engineer hammer now.
i used to play cavalier shouts before specialisations then the build evolved into clerics shouts after warrior shouts were nerfed. it was still a great build though. it was my go to for carrying teams. i played it all the time. great support for the meta at the time, not now with tempest & druid. its just outclassed.
i know warrior like the back of my hand. the second character i made was a charr warrior (after a charr engineer). my first 80 was a warrior. i played almost exclusively warrior for a year in wvw. i love this class.
but its so bad. its so bad right now.
it has no healing, no boonspam, & too slow animations. it can YOLO you to death, but thats all. it’s inferior at every single thing a class can do. it has good cc, but you have a lot of cc in teams so who cares. warrior can’t even recover from spikes. it just cant.
pathetic. every other class in the meta can 100% heal easily. warrior cant even do it with a healing skill. smfh.

In my opinion, warrior is not so good only because its traits are strongly related to weapons… I mean, if u put strength u can only use GS. This is quite bad because you have only a limited number of build…
Warriors are more useful than thiefs. In that a warrior can probably stay alive long enough to do somthing that helps the team and a thief will die instantly. The only good thiefs can do is decap far etc but if far is being held by just about any class currently the thief will struggle even with most 1v1s.

dude. my main class for pvp was warrior. I dropped when HoT hit. i play it a bit in unranked, & 1v1 with it all the time, but I wouldn’t take it into ranked. ranked is serious. unranked is for goofing.
warrior does nothing for the team that matters & it can’t recover from damage. a warrior has to be carried in teamfights, because he cant heal that 12k trueshot, or that phase smash, or the 10k maul. he just can’t, so someone else has to heal him. we even saw warriors reliance on bunker guard pre HoT.
now everything else people are playing in the meta can burst heal, often AOE burst heal. what can a warrior do that a druid can’t, or that a revenant or scrapper cant? remember warrior is trash teir so even non meta builds from actually good elites will destroy it if played at the same skill level. there is no rational reason to dedicate one of your limited 5 team slots to such a bad class.

Geez you cannot let your hate for the warrior profession and other warriors go can you? It’s a shame that some people in these forums think we’re inherently selfish for playing a certain class. What’s more shameful is you and others’ assumption that we intend to sabotage other players.
If I play without amulet, rune, armor, utility, elite skills, traits and an offhand weapon in ranked on purpose, then am I griefing the team?
dude. my main class for pvp was warrior. I dropped when HoT hits. i play it a bit in unranked, & 1v1 with it all the time, but I wouldn’t take it into ranked. ranked is serious. unranked is for goofing. warrior does nothing for the team that matters & it can’t recover from damage. it has to be carried in teamfights, because he cant heal that 12k trueshot. he just can’t, so someone else has to. everything else people are playing can burst heal, often AOE burst heal. what can a warrior do that a druid can’t, or that a revenant or scrapper cant? remember warrior is trash teir so even non meta builds from actually good elites will destroy it if played at the same skill level. there is no rational reason to dedicate one of your limited 5 team slots to such a bad class.

The notion that Thief and Warrior are viable in competitive play is absurd. I don’t consider myself anywhere near a professional level of competence in PvP, yet my team beat Caed’s team both times when we encountered them tonight by simply making Caed worthless to his team while we held 2 points after the initial opening split and contesting.

If you play warrior in ranked, you are being selfish by queuing. Stop dragging down your teammates.
I’m TIRED of this attitude against warriors. We’re doing the best we can with the tools we still have. If you don’t want us on your team, then quit, because we’re NOT going away.

While you’re at it, equip a magi amulet with mace/axe since you think it is funny to grief your team.
EXCUSE me?! I play to have fun. I play to win. I don’t play to grief or give others a hard time. Stop blaming your losses on us and start blaming it on the SYSTEM. You think us warriors like this situation?!
Second, you can sit there and lecture me how to play my class, but I tell you this….I win some and I lose some. My win % is 50% and I’m now currently 7-0. And ONCE AGAIN, I say, yes I’m doing the best I can. You only get better when you challenge yourself, challenge your limits.
You play to have fun by making your team carry you. You push the work to your teammates and give them a hard time. They blame their loss right on you because you think it is funny.
Good job on tanking your mmr, by the way. That would make you feel superior.

LOL! You really have it out for us don’t you? You know what? I’m done. This pvp community is officially insane right now. Too many people are blaming the players for A CORRUPT PVP SYSTEM.
