Thought I would make a thread for Ideas on what new players should know.
I play warrior long bow/great sword 0/20/20/10/20
having a balance of defensive and offensive traits/skills is important
I always bring stability, and at least 2 condi cleanses.
2 decent pin downs, and a knock down
Having a good size aoe is good for thieves, and controlling where they can linger in stealth
If your toon is not a tank, you need to learn to effectively disengage
on great sword the whirlwind skill followed by the rush(away from the enemy/make sure you don’t have a target selected) will put you well out of most attack ranges
many skills/traits have abilities that are not readily noticed, leg specialist with great sword blade trail is great for a brief stop on an enemy, Healing surge is instant full adrenal bar, use it before a fight to get a fire combo field with long bow. USE THE COMBO FIELDS AND FINISHERS!!!!!! This is key, I can max out might with combustive shot, arcing arrow, and bulls charge(the enemy attacking me with flame shield takes me to 25 pretty quick). Some condis are there just to make the others hard to clean, vulnerability on my build is there for that, since all i can do is burn or bleed. Whirlwind is also an extra dodge, Sigil of energy on the long bow keeps a dodge available.

i approve of this thread.

some new players will try to join pvp and make a build they thought was OP without even practicing. pro-players should contribute to these kinds of posts to teach newbies how they can play their class well. this will make pvp experience more enjoyable for them.
