Guild Wars 2

So I’m not very into PvP at all, and i’m trying to get some materials for my ascended gear in PvE and would like to get into PvP while also getting the ascended materials from the PvP chests.

Anyways, whats a strong solo class for PvP. One that can actually carry a team if played well enough. And I’ve loved every class I’ve played so far, so I’m open to any and all builds/professions.

One thing though. I absolutely cannot stand engineers. I just hate playing it.

Your best option is really just to play whatever professions you main/most comfortable with. You’re going to have to spend a lot more time getting good with professions that you hardly ever play. IMO though, you can’t go wrong with guardian or warrior.

Same as above, the one you’re most comfortable and having fun with will be your best bet. Anyway, PvP isn’t about soloing but teamplay so i’d recommand a build that let you support/carry your party in both defense & offense while letting you manage 1v1 on point for at least 30s.

ele warrior and engineer all have tough builds that can hold a point and are very valuable in teamfights. i would say shoutbow, and cele d/d are the best carry builds we have right now. potentially bunker guardian could work, but as i have no experience with the build i can’t say for sure.

If you are new to pvp, in my opinion warrior or guardian are the easiest classes to start.
Although elementalist and engineer have good builds right now, they require some practice about skill rotation, combos, etc.
Of course, it is just my opinion since each player adapts faster to certain class/build.
