So what’s up with people not liking stronghold? What’s your opinion on it?
well my biggest problem with it is people do not watch the chat. i would say 75% of the time when the door to the other teams lord is down and my teams door is still up . when i say time to rush lord no one shows up. and end up losing . because the other team was smart enough to send 2 to kill me while i am trying to solo lord . so slowly but surely they get into are lord and they rush and kill it. yep i love it so much i turned it off
Stronghold is a ele healing game. In same level, 2 ele heal the bomber,1 ppls break the treb. 100% win the match. They should change the player cannot heal the NPC. Because None can sure you have a ele in your team in solo queue.

THIS is precisely why I stopped playing it. Stronghold with no ele = LOSS. Period. End of discussion. Stronghold needs massive changes. I just stick with conquest.

Overstatement of the year. Stronghold without GOOD PLAYERS is a loss. Even of you have an Ele, there is no guarantee that the Ele will be able to keep the NPCs alive if the enemy has a good defence.
The real problem is Stronghold requires more coordination than conquest therefore, new players will be bad at it. I personally like stronghold but not soloq stronghold. Teamq is most fun.

In same level , good defence is a joke, 2 qualified ele can heal up bomber under the treb attack or they can choose heal up their door guard to kill your bomber(one hit one down). Even if you defend the first attack.They still have many chance just call one (just one) bomber to break door. Ele also have a superiority on hero call point fight. Anyway, who have ele who take the initiative.

If your see a team just call 2 archer when begin. 2 ele go to heal the door guard. 1 ppls use the treb. Mean they are veteran. Because IN OUT door+Ele make your team can’t kill anyone even door guard. When your first bomber go over than you will game over.
The game is balanced around Conquest, not SH. There’s builds that makes the new gamemode unhealthy to play.
But unlike a moba, there’s not a check & balance system. You don’t have towers that controls people zerging the entire map and camping respawns. There’s no risk for dying and thank goodness because nothing moderates snowballing. There’s not even a “level up” or “growth” feeling when playing through the map other than picking up crates to summon minions.
A few of these issues can be fixed with some ingenuity but at the moment, SH is not where it should be.

One simple reason, Stronghold is longer. And people want fast games, but stronghold could drag on for so long. And most people don’t want to learn another game mode from scratch.
Stronghold is too reliant on team composition and coordination. It’s too complex to ever really feel confident that you can win. It’s more fun than conquest though, but I like gaining pips.
Oh, and not enough people play it, so Q times are just insane.
Essentially what most others have been saying. I’ve got nothing against stronghold in principal, but at present the mode is horribly unbalanced.
This map shows just how little Anet actually plays of their game or cares.
If you can’t see how OP eles are on this map after just playing a little bit, then nothing will make sense to you. How they allowed the season to start without fixing this is head-scratching.
It shouldn’t be that surprising though. For some reason, Anet has had quite a fascination with eles almost always being in the meta and/or OP. If they were out for just 1 season, they got made OP the next. Whereas Rangers, Necros, Thieves are the complete opposite.
I don’t think it’s intentional favoritism, but they clearly gave too much unique group “strengths” to the ele profession…while making them just as viable as any other class when not spec’d for group support.
You can’t have one profession so much better than the others at group support, AND give them the option to spec on the fly for non-support too and be just as viable. Plus, give them an exclusive map (used to be two maps) where they are far and away the best.
Such a head scratcher what they were thinking.
i prefer this over boring conquest maps. but i think another problem is if you have a premade on the other team, 9/10 chance they will just lord rush and end the game with in 2 mins or so. things like that is kinda lame but oh well.
