i love it when im THIS close to finish the tier aaaaand getting teamed up with people that don’t even look at the minimap and prefer to zerg the bunker in a 3v1 in the middle of nowhere all day

Ruby tier 6 is the magic tier?

I hit tier 6 and out of my last 10 games 6 of those were against 4-5 man premades.

While I haven’t been stuck in ruby for more than 5 days, I was at 24/30 pips, just about to hit t5 after even fewer matches than I played in sapphire. I then had 3 games of 4v5, then the majority of my teammates wouldn’t listen to rotations, communicate, or do anything but sacrifice themselves mid. Over the past 2 days out of the 5 in ruby, I’ve gotten 4 wins out of about 22 games. I’m an above average player and love pvp, but the combination of dcs and abuse is keeping me logged out for the rest of the season. Very sad that good players out there are getting dogged by this matchmaking system.

As much as i would want to say that maybe you are not good enough i cant because any bad can get to legend. So just pick up actual meta condi necro build and get your legend.

its total random no matter how good you are. you can be the best player ever. you will stuck in ruby diamond etc if you don’t get players that good at teamplay to take you to legendary if you are only doing solo q.

How is it elitism, if someone would google GW2 PVP basics he would probobly stumble on some guide that tells him that you need build and keybinds before you start PVPing, so this fook has no build and no keybinds so he doesnt even have the very basic requirements for PVPing.
Yes most of the time whichever team has least amount of bad players win, but if you are bad yourself then you already decrase the chances of having the better team.

90% sure he has no keybinds and not that they binded to mouse or something.

So i should ignore all these signs of someone whos not very competent PVPer and presume that hes 1 out of 1000 exception and is actually good player?
Elitist in me says that he shouldnt even be in ranked but play unranked, cause i didnt even leave hotjoin till i knew every basic thing about PVP, but im not doing that because im 100% that he plays PVP not because he wants to be good at it but because he wants reward so im telling him that even tho hes terrible player he can still get to legend if he would play build thats considered viable because there is ton of terrible player in legendary division.

What if he has a Razer Naga Epic? Then he’d be justified in having those binds since he’ll just have to move his thumb and hit “10” for the elite skill. My Naga doesn’t work anymore so until I get another one my elite is bound to “B”.

I spend all the cash i earn while playing pvp on drinks for the shoulder skin…. and I have very little left in this game to keep me entertained.

anyway… on a related note…

I’ve noticed that when it comes to pvp…. there are far more players who are good enough to know how to talk trash, yet aren’t good enough to actually play well…. than there are good players who talk trash AND play well.

…and those players are the same ones who are quick to point the finger at a thief or warrior on the team.

As a matter of fact, I’d be willing to bet that there is a direct negative correlation between the amount of trash being talked and the actual player skill.

…and if you would like to actually try my build out, or fight against it one day, you can just let me know.

Till then, I’m just going to dismiss you as a scrub who gets owned in pvp and has to come to the forums to put ppl down….. because you are always the one getting downed in pvp.

Look man, if you are stuck in a division with regression it only means one thing, you’re not good enough to advance to next division.

Some facts:

1. There have been plenty of people that have made it out of ruby with and without copy paste builds.
2. One person can carry this game. If you are good, force 1v2s, win them, and you put your team in a favorable 4v3. Sometimes they won’t win those favorable situations, just means other team is better.

If you’re really arrogant enough to claim that you should always win your matches and it is indeed your teammates that are bad, I invite you to record some of your gameplay, upload it to YouTube, and prove to us that it isn’t you who is the terribad that can’t be carried out of a division hundreds (if not thousands) of players have already climbed out of.

Or you know, you can not post evidence and keep complaining, and blaming teammates, that will surely get you to legendary in 16 days.

I was stuck there for quite a long time too. End of ruby and end of diamond are pretty much the struggle areas.

During the 13+ years ive played online games (mostly at the top of each ladder) ive encountered the direct opposite. A lot of the best players are the biggest trash talkers or even ragers.

It shouldnt be about completing the journey from amber to legendary. It shoulld be about getting to the division where u belong at and staying there untill you get better.

The skill level difference from Diamond onward for players are Ground to Sky.

Quite the opposite actually, ruby is much harder to get out of then diamond, ruby is filled with bad players that grinded to ruby so the odds of getting matched up with bad teams is much higher meaning good players have to carry the team which is hard to do if they suck, but once you get to diamond there are much more competent players meaning you dont have to carry as hard and can actually focus on supporting the team rather than covering for their terrible plays

Case and point, my roommate was stuck in ruby for over 2 weeks hovering in the last 2 tiers, when he finally broke out of ruby, he was legendary division within 2 days because the players in diamond carried their own weight

Got my way out (after a loooooong time), but I had more success by soloqing than team qing… same in diamond i lose more pips in team than solo… but nevermind the losses, it feels good to play with friendly people you met ingame. Though I climb faster solo.

I have to agree with Leeto. That screenshot shows a lot of things that are making me judge but in particular that build is unviable in this meta. Pick up a bunker build if you wanna carry solo queues. Personally I did ruby>diamond in one day that way.

I assure you this build is more than viable, and I am capable of bursting/stun locking any class down in 10 seconds except for engi, (since they are traited to go mini-me and become invulnerable) and daredevil.

I can facetank dragon hunters, and stand in all of their traps without ever even dodging.

I can also outbunk engineers, druids, eles, and mesmers on point.

It is also easy to rotate to a point where there is a brawl happening, drop the wells on the point, enter shroud, and spin to win.

The only time anything is left standing is if it is on foefire… at mid, as the point is very big and foes don’t have to stand in the aoe to hold a cap…. or if the enemy team loses the cap.

The wells are unblockable, heal me and my allies, they strip boons, convert conditions to boons, etc. and they cover the entire point.

You need to leave the point and lose the cap, or else you die. Simple as that.

Why don’t you guys try the build out.

Something tells me it is way too easy to get into Ruby. Not saying Wells can’t work… but even if they are working for the OP that just means there are five scrubs on the enemy team who shouldn’t be in Ruby.

The build fails at not having spite and/or soul reaping.

not really good damage and weak shroud. for a little bit more survivability that will not save you anyway. But i can see this build can feel strong in lower tiers till you start meeting good players. It’s seems like to be just a let’s try to outlast that 1v1’s build. A hybrid thats not really good at anything in teamplay.

Does really anyone want to tell me that player who has ANY idea about PVP could come up with that build, im not even talking about bad weapon or traitline choices im talking about looking at 3 traits in tier and picking the WORST ones….

Some people are so full of themselves that they won’t even give something a try before they talk smack.

I get comments like…

“Why can’t I kill you?”

or

“How are you still alive?”

“How do you do so much dmg as a bunker”

all the time…. but I’m the one with the bad build xD

Look at any of the “meta” reaper builds utilities….

they use spectral armor -> I use well of power

Both will provide protection.
Both will break stun.
Both will grant me life force.
Both have a 50 sec recharge.
Well of power also clears all my conditions.
Well of power also deals damage to foes.
Well of power also heals me.

Well of power > spectral armor

Signet of the locust – > well of corruption
Both skills steal life and remove boons from foes.
Signet of the locust provides a passive movement speed buff.
Well of corruption also continues to pulse, damaging foes, healing me, and generating life force with each pulse, will remove 4 more boons than signet of the locust to any target who lingers in the aoe.
Well of corruption also can not be blocked.
Well of corruption also applies protection.

Well of corruption > signet of the locust.

I shouldn’t have to explain why well of suffering is on the bar.

Not only does it deal excellent dmg….
…but it also heals me.
it also generates life force..
it is also unblockable.
it also applies protection.

Anyone who has ever played power necro knows how excellent this skill is for dealing damage….. and in this build it is so much more.

two of the most popular professions in this meta rely on blocking to bunk a point) (mesmer and revenant) they die in seconds.

Engineer and Ele need to be boon stripped and stunlocked in order to be taken down, and this build is quite good at doing exactly that.

Dragon hunters/guardians are a joke.
Necros/reapers are a joke.

Daredevil believe it or not is the only class that hard counters this build, and it will only stand a chance if my life force is completely empty, and I don’t have my stability ready once my utilities have been used.

exactly. I’ve seen the gamut… rage quitters, match throwers, sandbaggers.. YOLO que really is a crap shoot since most of the PvE grinders found a way into Ruby and are stuck there.

I’m stuck for 5 weeks, so what’s the problem?! I had 25 pips to, and f pre-mades come all the time, with legendary tiers to..
Well, in season 2 I will be stronger, I have now the skill against good players! That means I’m good to! Have 21 pips, and I hope I will get diamond this season!
