Guild Wars 2

I bet 90% of ppl playing pvp barely use minimap pings to give directions to party members, and even if they do none will ever notice them, so they just dont use it.
Why not making it more useful, as it is in games like dota or LoL ?
Surely someone suggested this already but i have no idea where it oculd be now….. it would be really usefull to have a quick menu for pings, like press ALT and a circle appear, press a WASD or mouse click to send a message to your team, something like …

“Go Far” /mid/close
“i’m going here” … and ping position
Add sound when u ping a point on the minimap
“Defend”
“Attack”

Simple stuff like this, but if u make it appear at middle screen and add sounds, it will be much of help.

No thank you. This pinging is already to much animation for me. If you dont recognize it, it is a lack of gameplay. I also really dislike the minimap pings with targets, which is quite new and nervwrecking.

Do that and there will be no end to the people who constantly ping the map just to kitten people off. There are already people who do this and a sound would just make it worse.

The only compromise I’d make is allowing a sound, but setting it to off by default so that people who wanted it could turn it on.
