(THIS WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED IN THE HoT FORUMS BUT I FELT AS IF THIS SHOULD ALSO BE POSTED HERE FOR ALL PVPERS TO SEE! PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK!)

sPvP players. I am a PvX player for the most part although 60-70% of my time is in spvp. After reading the posts by anet about guild halls I came to the conclusion that these things look pretty awesome, and I really want one for my guild. Well, I cant help but feel bad for the spvp’ers who arent going to be able to enjoy these great new assets. With the new expansion release in the near future, and the release of the “Pre-Order”, as well as the initial disagreements over the price, I have come to the thought of sPvP guild halls.

Now, I suppose you may be asking, “How could this work”, “What will it do”, and “How could you upgrade it”. Well this is simple.

—HOW COULD THIS WORK?
> This could work primarily as a way for the spvp community to feel as if they are getting more than just a new pvp map and some mediocre balance changes in the new expansion! This could work by having 2 categories of how you can begin and continuing the building of your guild halls. The first choice is how they have it now, through guild missions, treks, etc. The Second Option could be through sPvP things.

—HOW CAN YOU UPGRADE IT?
> This is quite simple and obvious really, through guild rank points earned/glory (could be brought back)/guild accomplishments/ranks/etc. As a group of team mates queues together, points are earned at a gradual rate, say maybe 5 points per minute in game, or possibly based off of if you win your match, or lose, say 10 points for a win and 5 points for a loss. Once you generate enough points you can buy different things that revolve around a sPvP team or guild.

—WHAT WILL IT DO?
>The sPvP guild halls could do a certain amount of things that could really show off the amazing accomplishments some of the people have in this game, and it could also be used for social gatherings, and or for of course…pvp! My idea goes as follows: one major aspect of sPvP guild halls go along with what Custom arena were supposed to be (IMO), which is either a blank and bare map which allows us to place items and points where we wish to put them. Of course the amount of items that are placed could or maybe couldnt be limited as this may or may not create lag. With the custom maps, this would not only feel as if there are way more maps in the game to play, but this would also help with new game types/modes for future PvP maps. Now for the accomplishments, this could simply be a giant room of stuff or statistics about the team or guild that the guild hall is for. For example, The Abjured would have WTS trophies, Llamas, ToL wins, ESL wins, and the list goes on and on, and the guild halls would really allow for these teams to show what they have done and accomplished! More stuff could be added to the accomplishment room of course in later updates, but this is just stuff that has come off the top of my head.

In reality, this really wouldnt be all that hard for Anet to create. We know as of right now that the item placement in Custom arenas wouldnt be hard as the new arena’s in guild halls now allow you to place items (probably on a grid system). The accomplishments wouldnt be all that hard to track as its just as simple as adding/sending a trophy or banner to the members of team that had won a tournament for them to place in the accomplishments room!

This could finally be something that the sPvP community could use and have that would make them/us feel as loved as pve as it would allow us to work for something again! Once you took away hard ranking back a few years ago, as well as with the new wardrobe release, you took away out sPvP skins that made us feel special! Dont you remember when seeing someone in CoF gear in sPvP was something special? You knew that person had worked hard that gear, and you knew they were a force to be reckoned with, but now the spvp community has nothing to show for what they have accomplished. Really Anet, please consider this, as this community needs something that gives us a sense of love. With no love really going towards sPvP in the upcoming expansion, this is exactly what we need to stay invested in the game that much longer!
