[Suggestion] Queueing for PvP anywhere
I agree they need to maybe inplement duels, even have a dueling leaderboard. no unranked or ranked. A pure ranked dueling leaderboard.
I do abandon my tests on the A.I as I was testing on them as a warmup for the match. It counts towards nothing to fight them, its purely to up your skill. PvE if you wish to PvE, PvP when you wish to PvP. My whole existance is the Heart of the mists and I have no problems I just talk on map chat and enjoy the space, pimping my charactor and sorting through my inventory etc. Plenty to do.
Maybe they could add crafting vendors nearby? or would that cause more delays on the queue, Hmm.
wtb MF in hotm… so i can at least make gold :|
they even denied us that :|
why would they delete it T_T

ANET wants us to sit in HoTM and waste our lives away doing nothing while waiting for Queues to pop only to have your team end up as a 4v5.
That’s GW2 PvP in a nutshell. And you might wonder why many people aren’t interested in playing PvP.
This wouldn’t be an issue if queues weren’t so long. :\ Unranked has a shorter wait but the “waiting for players” timer is like a 2nd queue. In the end you waste at least 3 min to wait for a match that might be a steamroll, wasting 10-15 minutes total. I feel unranked is similar to RA in GW1 but most people would disagree and prefer the MUCH faster queues and matches.
Mmm if you think about it it might not be so bad! I agree it would be good if people would have something with more progress that they could do in meanwhile but imagine this:
→ Player Queueing for a game in PvE
→ A nice Boss/Event spawned
→ Player doesn’t accept
→ Many queue’s that can’t continue because people found something else to do.
Mmm unless they changed the system where non-accepting players are replaced by new players, I think this could also make a lot of queue’s not complete as it is right now.
This is a major factor why I don’t play much. In GW2, I spend more time not playing GW2 than playing GW2.
Am I good?… I’m good.
They should let us do wvw while we queue.
It’s pretty simple. Back when you could queue from anywhere, people did simply not enter the matches that popped if they were doing map completion (just finish this heart quickly), recruit for the guild, doing world bosses, doing wvw.
They would enter the match at the very last second or just be drawn in by the game when the timer ran out.
Sitting around in the heart of the mists is not ideal but if people would have been more responsible before, Anet might not have decided to take this step.
The new queue system does not create a match until all 10 players have clicked the queue popup. So most of the arguments here are incorrect in saying that we need to be locked in HotM to prevent incomplete teams. No reason to keep everyone in Heart of the Mists.
p.s. Many 4v5 or games with leavers become that way after the match has started 5v5.

thing i miss the most is the ability to craft – there is an TP but no way to make things i buy from it
i think Q from anywhere is not correct heart of the mist is place for the pvp comunity and that will be wrong to loose it. But i think tha they have to put Q from guild halls in HOT

Have you seen map chat? Ever tried forming a group with random players in Heart of the Mist? Are your queue times average 7-8 minutes like mine? I think all of Guild Wars 2 should be for the PvP community, not this single desolate hellhole.

i have seen the map chat, not i never form a team with random players, and i have been queue about three thousand times and waiting for 7-8 minutes only 2 or 3 times, so what ?
I mostly form a team if I’m ready to sit down and enjoy some PvP. I pimp out my charactor to look the part, master my build on the bots or A.I bosses.
I chat randomly on map chat, explore the internet until the Q pops. There is soo much to do. But if you are queuing then you must always be ready to accept. How is that possible while doing PvE or even WvW, imagine going in a zerg battle and player after player drops out to join the match. You’re essentially saying its ok to just drop out off the SPvP match if you found something more important to do. No I think its fine as it is. Maybe add crafting tables but even then people will get stuck on that
Best other option is to make the PvP browser more viable.
