I really like lightning flash but trying to spam click where I want to go and always being just out of range is a bit counter-intuitive. It would be great if my character just jumped max distance in the direction of my mouse pointer, or up to the pointer if it’s within range. I think that would be a bit more intuitive and you wouldn’t have to spam through “out of range” until you inch the mouse pointer close enough as you madly spam the spell.

If there’s already a way to do this please let me know.

That is not god idea, often I wanna teleport on specific spot that is not always max distance.
Don’t know what option you use for targeting ground spells, but if you put for example “Fast with Range Indicator” you can hold your mouse/keyboard button and see if you are in range, when circle is green you instant port just with release your button, if it is out of range you will see red circle.

It would be a great idea if it included a switch for this feature: If I want to teleport to a specific point, it might be a wasted cooldown if it doesn’t take me far enough.

No switch = No go, imo.

Would like to see this for Blink also.
They already have it somewhat added, Necromancer’s Flesh Wurm teleport ability doesn’t give you an “out of range” message or anything. It just takes you max range towards your Flesh Wurm.

Someone suggested this a wee bit back, and most people seemed okay with the idea - a toggle in the options that automatically casts any ground-targeted skill at max range if they’re aimed too far away.

It wouldn’t be necessary for folks who didn’t like it, it wouldn’t allow bad players to magically become brilliant (because you still need to be able to judge where your spell will land and what significance this has) but it would really help out people regularly frustrated by uneven terrain or other obstacles.

Some targeted teleports (like Flashing Blade) already function like this, and can probably continue to do so - I’m not sure how I feel about Steal doing it, though. Thieves already have great mobility, and this change would help them with Infiltrator’s Arrow and Shadowstep anyway.
