Hey, The only thing that separates some games from esports to games like LOL is viewers. Here’s an idea to get some viewers. Obviously you want people that don’t have Gw2 yet to come check it out. So go get a popular twitch streamer rent out his channel for a few hours and boom you got 20k viewers instead of using DPS’s bad channel that’s not even partnered with twitch.

Twitch partnership has specific requirements that we have to meet before we get that status. Considering we launched our channel in June and have only had 2 major broadcasts on our channel, we’re quite pleased with how far we’ve come.

Who cares about getting eSports? Can a tournament not be streamed without there being 150k viewers?

Its Anet…they have a marketing department that produce quality thats on par (if that) with what 18-19 year marketing students produce.

In fact i wouldnt be surprised if the majority of their marketeers are interns.

Do you expect them to promote an event like professionals?

• Add a game mode that is truly esports! 2v2 / 3v3 Arenas! 5v5 anything is too cluttered with all of the particle effects! But the game is balanced to 5v5 conquest so RIP arenas!
• Spectating the game is awful! Camera angles and particle effects make for a very poor spectacle to watch!
• Cash prizes! Money will draw all the little nerds out of hiding to compete for irl loot! The $50k cash prize is a good start but it needs to be consistent!
• Anet needs to find ways to get more people to play the game and stop making people quit! The same team wins every single tournament! They are good players no doubt, but it’s also because there is hardly any competition!
• Balance! The game balances VERY EXTREMELY THUPER slowly! Guild Warts will never be esports with a patch every 6 months! Overpowdered classes remain overpowdered for YEARS! Literally years!
• Pause! Pausing a match is esports! There isn’t a single esports game without a pause feature because technical difficulties exist! Vee Wee just witnessed a 4v5 match in ToG! This cannot happen! At least this time the admins didn’t ask someone to idle in spawn LOL!

The only thing it needs to motivate teams and players to get better and improve theirselfs are leagues and season.
Players and teams will be highly motivated and the competetive scene in this game will grow.
