Suggestions: low-hanging fruit
A couple of these may be slightly more difficult to implement, but here it goes:
1. Maybe if they could change the score board to reflect how much you helped your team instead of having a meaningless personal score.
Things that they could do:
- Add in a kill/ death counter (which could be for individuals or entire teams e.g. LoL or DotA)
- Damage dealt/ Damage received to let people know what they need to work on.
2. Somehow allow people to vote for players who they think contributed the most and give these players extra rewards. (Not sure how this one would turn out, but I think it would prevent a lot of trolling/ arguments and make people want to play well and improve!)
3. Prevent more than double class stacking in solo queues (you cannot have more than two of the same profession on each team.) Because lets face it, it gets pretty annoying fighting 4 Hambows (insert meta build here) every game. Even if it caused longer queue times for the people playing these classes (which it shouldn’t unless a class is REALLY REALLY overplayed/ op.) I think this would encourage people to branch out and try something new.
Deathmatch arenas, a real scoreboard, real leaderboards that show class type and MMR, real matchmaking that doesn’t start players with absurdly high MMR
…
Yeah I think all of those could be considered low-hanging fruit. I think the MVP idea would be cool.

Some of those I think count as low-hanging fruit, some not. If you don’t think Glicko2 is a good MMR system, which one do you think would be better?
Visible MMR shouldn’t be too hard I don’t think.
Deathmatch arenas I think wouldn’t be too tough to implement, although I think 2v2/3v3 annihilation is actually what people want rather than “deathmatch.” I think courtyard is ready for the rotation, however that could be implemented. Maybe regular hotjoins would do a 5v5 annihilation once per rotation? But that would likely feel too crowded.
Here are some additional suggestions:
—Make Sigil of Energy give 8 seconds of vigor on weapon swap instead of 50% instant endurance refill. Normal builds will not be harmed, but builds with perma vigor AND instant endurance refills on top of that will not be able to dodge every three seconds any more.
—Make rune of strength give 30% might duration, 5% damage bonus.
—Make rune of Balthazar give 30% burning duration, remove the on-heal burn proc.
—Make team arena use the same shuffling process solo arena uses when possible (i.e. if four duo/trio groups queue into the same match, the two groups with the highest MMR should not end up together)
More stats and keep a record of them after games.
Stats I want to see:
DPS graph throughout game. Could be broken up in to damage types.
Healed self/Healed team
Cured Self/Cured team.
Kills/Deaths
If you could see it relative to other players that would be even better but I would settle for my own stats.

This!
Also the stuck bug fix it , if its not an easy fix make stow weapon work the same way /dance fixes it so we can just press one button.

Only problem with this is that personal score is currently tallied in the case of a tie-break situation.

This could be good. There was a system put in place in FFXIV for dungeons (yeah I know it’s not pvp) where at the end people could vote to give commendations to who they thought put in the most work and contributed towards the team. Each player could give a commendation. Commendations could then be spent at a vendor for unique items.

I’m not so sure about this, you limit people playing their favorite classes and I think it would be more discouraging than encouraging to play.
Playing a sound when the match is ready. Might take anet a few years to implement this
Okay, looking back over the thread, I think our best ideas so far are:
—Creating a sound for queue pop
—Nerfing some really powerful runes and sigils
—Implementing an MVP vote
—Showing extra stats on end-game scoreboard
—Temporarily removing skyhammer from solo arena
—Fixing the immob bug (not sure how easy/difficult that is)
I’ll edit this list into the OP. I think most of them would be pretty cost-effective to implement.
