Stealth isnt so much a problem, its just bugged right now, the core problem in the game are faceroll 10k damage abilities … backstab, hundred blades, etc. Between thieves, mesmers and warriors most peoples gripes can be found in highly unbalanced, spammable instagib abilities that promote a zerg playstyle, why not zerg when your combined spammable attacks do about 50k damage before you even do your other attacks.

I myself play full invisibility spec, not backstab though. Stealthing at will isnt so much at will as you think, each time you stealth you arent caping/defeding point as stealth machanics are like that. I myself speced into long invis, and i think stealth is thiefs main offencive strenght and bunkering weakness, stealth limits our ways to bunker, our dodgy mechanics dont allow to bunker too as from time to time we roll out of, caping zones, no stability, no protection.
Thief is limited only to offencive specs in touraments, unless you play death blossom spec, which is kitten countered by anyone who is smart enough to back out a lil and shoot thief, as he carrys 2x dagger sets, with condition damage, who dont deal any damage at all in range.
After you get us working bunker spec, talk about nerfing stealth again.
