I used to play PvP a lot. I took a break from the game starting in late June when I went on vacation to Europe. I am considering playing again.

I just want the cliff’s notes of what major changes have taken place that I should know.

I don’t need in depth explanations because I can look them up myself, I just need to know what to actually look up. Balance changes? Rule changes?

PvP Wardrobe and equipment removed and game-wide Wardrobe added, only get merchent in PvP as well addition of reward tracks and removal of glory and glory rewards.

New leaderboards and q system (refreshed and again and again) and NPCs finally!
Oh yeah again new leaderboards and a re-vamp to the new q system YAY maybe they will fix the horsecrap announced for the 16th. But with their track record we will be waiting 4-8 months before they release a fix that may actually work.

Is that good enough cliffnotes for you?

There was big balance patch last december then nothing happened for 4 months until april, now its 8 months since that patch.
On 2nd day after april patch i logged in and thought that engi passive burn, air + fire stack, celestial, SD thiefs, passive fear necros are complete **** and should be nerfed now after 8 months nothing has been done about it.
Stop caring about balance changes just play the game if you like it, and be ready to adjust to the meta if you want to be on top, anet just shifts meta 2x per year and thats it.
For a minor change to happen outside of those 2 per year balance patches whole community need to spam forums for at least few months which is not that often tbh (rune of strength for example).
