The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
So I see most builds encourage you to run Elixir X over supply crate if your running scrapper build. I’m not a fan of Elixir X for a variety of reasons. But I was wondering if I chose to run supply crate over Elixir X would that be a completely stupid idea or if I was simply more comfortable using supply crate it would be acceptable.
So Im asking should I suck it up and get comfortable with Elixir S or would most people think that running supply crate isnt a deal breaker?
well, it’s a worse elite skill so you can kitten yourself I guess.

Well thats the impression I getting, so Im wondering how much? As I said, is it a deal breaker.

it has a worse stun on a long cooldown. the elixer has an AOE moa on a short CD, and has a chance for Rampage too. it’s straight up the better choice.
It is not a deal-breaker, as you can still do fine in most situations while having no elite.
While supply crate was once one of the most-OP elites in the game, a combination of nerfs to turret survivability (thanks to turret builds) and massive power-creep have made it largely irrelevant. I have even tried taking this in a build with a build that has “reflect bubble turrets” and it just didn’t do much more than a short stun (which you can get much easier). Heck, even the F5 skill on Elixer X gives an AOE-moa, which is at least as good as the Supply Drop stun (moa ignores stab, has a shorter CD).
Your best choices for elites are either elixir X or invisibility gyro. I prefer the gyro to secure resses or gtfo out of fights, but that is because I find myself having to rotate to open points to make-up for poor rotations of my team, and the ability to escape helps that role immensely.
the turrets also get destroyed very easily.
maybe if the skill has a 60 seconds recharge time instead …
Snip.
Thx for the good info, ill prob roll sneak gyro.
It’s a deal breaker, lad. AoE Moa form from the toolbelt allows you to take down Rangers with full AF and Necs with full LF so much easier since it overrides other transforms.
I mean if neither of those are on the other team you can go for it I suppose.
i always take X or mortar, but I love those combo fields
