Seriously. Recenly out of roughly 50% of ranked games going south i’ve had one or more quitters or afk’er in base “cause it’s hopeless/team is noob” etc.

I don’t mind losing a match but i can’t stand these cowards/whiners. It’s killing the fun and leaves bad aftertaste.

What have French people got to do with this?

Why the “french” mon ami? Yeah I see those in ranked there and there mais c’est normal GW2 est un jeu,you can’t do much about it c’est une decision humaine.

It’s an old running joke – the French are the first to run/give up at sign of trouble/conflict. And ironically enough the first game i had this happen to me today it was a french who gave up first and afk’d in base.

It’s an old World War 2 joke I believe. May even go back further than that.

I wouldn’t really use such a joke on the public forums, though. It’s kinda disrespectful to them.

On topic: yes, I have it too all the time, it happens and I wish to see a Report option for such behavior.

Forcing your team to lose by boycotting a match is against ToA and Rules of Conduct, yet no such option to Report for that case ingame, sadly.

Looking forward to that option. Little time away from pvp would do them good. As for French – well i’m Polish. If anyone has the right to make fun of France for WWII it’s us (they bailed on us despite being part of mutual protection treaty). And us Poles have very very little tolerance for political correctness. Nearly 50 years of communistic censorship will do that to you:)

It’s still not the right place to discuss such things. Perhaps if you were a WWII veteran yourself but I guess not.

Also, back in the time, the soldiers did what they had ordered from ‘above’. It’s not that the average French soldier could do anything against it nor the average French common folk. Blame the French higher-ups all u want, its the Fuhrer that started all that to begin with. Don’t blame the whole country for a decision made by a few.

Sorry but you’re wrong. The “French are cowards” is actually a really modern myth. It was made popular in the US in the early 2000s because France refused to join the war against Irak, and Americans felt terribly insulted.

The funny part is that nowadays nobody believes that Irak was a good idea, but that stereotype is still around.

And by the way, I’m swiss, so I enjoy a good french-bashing. But I don’t like short-sighted history “truths”.

Well that is a good history lesson for me. Not taking america’s n-th “peace keeping invasion” isn’t something I’d bash anyone about. Unlike the WWII. Though honestly i don’t hold a grudge that deep, but i sure like to poke fun at them;)

That aside i really feel something went awfully wrong in pvp today. Never have i seen so many quitters and complainers in one day..
