Survey: Do you want more PvP achievements?
In all fairness of Arenanet puking out garbage that this is somehow a PvP oriented game, I would say yes, PvP definitely deserves more achievements than the current ridiculously drawn out “achievements” we have.

This game’s sPvP rank / achievements is quite literally a Korean grindfest, comparatively speaking.

hmmm not sure if this is track-able or not since weapon skills only down enemies and not finishes them off …

In all fairness they did have more achievements. It was with the daily, however people whined about it so now its back to the original 5.
The dailies that had were a little bit harder but there was 6-8 of different paths to chose to complete it with.
People whined and that’s that. But I was totally happy with more achievements.

We definitly need more achievement point in PvP, especially since you can earn reward with them. I mean in this game if your an hardcore PvE player you get everything : the gold, the gems, achievements points, some spvp skins, stuff for WvW …
If you re an hadcore spvp player you don t even have acess to all spvp skins, you got nothing for WvW, you need to sell dies to get a little gold, no more ways to get gems, and very limited way to get achievement point.
I think we defenitly need a rework in pvp reward

Well, that’s your opinion. For myself, I’m doing a break of PvP because it is too stale and the hype is allrdy gone anyway. So I changed to PvE and was quiet amused by the variety and the reward/progression.
However, the fact that PvP got so boring that I had to leave it for PvE is just sad. I mean I hated PvE just for it’s core principe of fighting against NPCS. So I want to thank A-Net for this experience . . .

First of all you should say: I think/find PvE boring, because that’s your personal opinion. Second thing, I didn’t speak about PvE rather than I just compared these two modes with each other in terms of Achievements. Therefore it is on topic. Third I’m relaxed all the time. I just don’t like when some random guy comes in and brings my post in another context as they were stated.

Sure… why not? With all the achievement point rewards now. Maybe something that counts how many times you played/won a map? (Similar to the how many times you played with a classe and won with a class)
There are a few problems with pvp achievements.
Flow of the Game
One is, that they can really, I mean really disturb the flow of the game!
For those who played wow, just remember the holiday events, where there was an pvp achievement part of it. (f.e. "School of Hard Knocks). That was temporary content every pve player wanted to have, without playing pvp, resulting in base trading and insults, when you play the game normally, and don’t help them getting the achievements. I already encountered different people during the crab toss suggesting win trading.
Fun, Timeconsuming and Challenge
An achievement should also be fun and hard to get. We already have time consuming achievements in pvp (the titles), we need more challenging achievements like “Faster Than Light” and “Personal Space”. Achievements should be challenging to get, and if you don’t put into them a lot of focus, you shouldn’t be able to get them all.
Over-time-achievements like kill X people with Y or on point Z are just not fun. Would you work towards it to get them, or just play normal the game, and wait until you have them? When then even bother to have them? Just for more achievement points? I would like to have some of them, but not too many, and some which points people towards the right direction f.e. revive people from the down state.
Bypassing
There is also the question, where you should be able to get those achievements. What’s with tpvp, custom arenas, arena where you are just playing against your friend?
Suggestion: Only grant the achievements, when on the arena there have once played eight people at any given time through the match. There don’t have to be a full match at the start or the end, just an high amount of players playing once during the match. The Achievements are then granted at the end of the match, where it’s checked if the conditions have been matched.
Primoridal (S1) & Exalted (S2) & Illustrious (S3) Legend
Arena net need to change the amount of achievement points awarded for game play in the mists.
As far as I’m aware exploring more areas or doing more dungeons/world events etc gets you a steady amount of points, but matches played/ranks acquired quickly becomes less rewarding in terms of AP gain.
In all honesty I don’t care much, but it’s certainly unfair on those that do.

It would be nice, i have around 2000+ games on my guard and 1000 hours on pvp and no points to really show for it. Maybe they should add a monthly achievement that gives you say max 50 achievement points for being in the top 100 leader boards or something.

with all the big emphasis on achievements now (and even skins being obtainable through them), yes, i’d expect them to make PvP more viable as a way to get achievement points.
plus, it’s a “currency” shared by both gameplay types, so they could get some achievement farmers into PvP.

Glory hog 1,000>10,000,>100,000 Glory in inventory at one time.
Frequent Slayer 10>20>30 Kills in one match
Completionist(Cloth armor Rabbit)(Heavy Armor Deer) etc these can be worth a little bit not a lot..
Completionist(Get 250Paid/Free tokens in Locker)
Forge Master (Use the pvp forge x amount of times) or alternatively
Dye Master (Create X amount of dyes in the Pvp forge) since it’s the only thing it’s used for really
Interrupting Orange(Aren’t you glad I didn’t say banana?)

don’t think interrupting specific actions would be a good idea. it would encourage bad play on classes/builds with poor access to interrupts, as they’d just sit on their interrupt until the desirable situation appears.
general interrupts are fine though, sometimes i’m surprised at the amount of people that don’t know how to interrupt a channeled heal.
