Letting people leave the battlegrounds at any time with no penalty is great, but something that seems very unfair in GW2 is how a random player gets transferred to the other team to “balance” the number of players – especially when it happens late-game when there is no chance of turning it around.

You’d play for one team, doing what you can to capture bases and whatever, only to get transferred at the very end of the game. You end up on a team that is far behind with only minutes left until the team you started on wins. Thus robbing you of the extra win points and the win (say for people concerned with their stats, achievements etc.) Does not seem fair, fighting hard to get you in the lead, only to get transferred (usually because people abandon ship when it’s a given loss)

I’m fairly certain that most sane people would find it frustrating being on the winning team and then getting randomly selected – given that the teams were balanced to begin with – this is simply not fair.

First of all – i dont think its a good idea to make it possible for players to leave without penalties. I really think there should be a penalty.

Second: If a player is switched to the outnumbered team – he/she will get the winning bonus, no matter if the team really wins or not.
And you say that you really worked hard for the team to win. How hard is it to win with a team, that has more players (>=2)?
In hotjoin nobody really cares about winning or loosing – its only stupid zerg and capture points. How often do you see point-defenders there?
And thats the point – the players learn to PvP in hotjoin-zergfest and wonder how hard their first tournaments are. They complain that they have to fight vs premades, but they dont even use TS. They are still standing with more than 1 player on a point to capture – and play for points, not for the win.

But its not their fault – its ANets fault. There are many suggestions how to break the zerg — but nothing is done.
