Sword/Shield Archetype: Tpvp
Just go brainless hambow j/k, if you are willing to make warrior with sword in a hand it definitely should be a condition one but in my opinion, current hambow build just kicks off everything other so I would reccomend you to abuse it as long as possible
About a build: If you are going for a condition spammer, change scholar to some other runes. I am also pretty sure that mending is much worse than current healing signet ,which you should definitely put in every warrior build. I am also pretty sure that shield as an off-hand is worse than a sword, since I’ve seen many good condition warriors running like s/s|longbow. For some more tips about traits, you should wait for someone more experienced than me gl!
hey thanks for the speedy feedback, im really aware of the power of the hambow but its just not my cup of tea… I just dont get much reward out of a playstyle like that regardless of the points on the screen.
i have definitely toyed with the idea of sword/sword, if that was the case id swap shield mastery for dogged march… still though, the warrior shield is a great piece of kit, gap closer, stun, block, its nice for setting up a sword burst or dropping bow field. and currently the only interrupt on the bar.
Well, you could also change carrion to rabid, I think it works better as well (more crits = more bleeds). Shield was always pretty nice but due to currect healing signet and lower cd on endure pain (90 to 60) warriors are half-importal and hard to burst :p shield is not such a must be as it used to be
hmm.. due to the trait setup the build runs permanent fury due to sword 1, sword 2, sword burst, bow 5 and so its sitting at 50% crit 100% of the time.
due to the hybrid nature of the sword / bow abilities, going rabid would kill a lot of the frontloaded pressure and add zero condi damage outside of a few more crit bleeds.
2500-2600 armour is enough, i think you are right about healing signet though, its so powerful and with 210 healing power its ticking for 400 a secong before adrenal healths returns as well. I would swap that in, also potentially swapping the crit sigil for a bloodlust.

This is the build I use. Sword goes well with a tank. With Deep cuts and blademaster you can still retain some decent damage. Hammer is needed for downed state control and for more burst
because he doesn’t know it himself
thats probably how i would build a sword/hammer warrior too. i just like the longbow in this particular build

Longbow is doable, too. Just switch out X in defens for IX.

This is what I’ve been toying with in hot join. I’m still tweaking it:

One big thing to remember is to never finish Flurry unless you have the freedom to be lazy. Break out after the immobilize by moving or using stow weapon. The auto-attack on sword is better than Flurry’s damage and you can move while using it.
I don’t see Sw/Sh + LB working as a condition build. You don’t have torment (off-hand sword) or confusion (Distracting Strikes trait), so removing just the bleed and burning isn’t difficult. If you do want to run it as a condition build, use Sigil of Doom to apply poison. It’s way better than Sigil of Earth due to the healing reduction mechanic.
thats great feedback thanks a lot… ive worried about those points! ive used doom on an elementalist for quite good results.. thats a good note.
with distracting strikes, how good is it? i cant see any interrupt with dual sword / longbow.
so maybe thats not worth regarding
Revised approach to dual swords with better cover conditions, and more pressure.
my concern with this is the lack of interrupt :/

im contemplating subbing in stomp for berzerker stance, its an aoe launch that i can combo on the fire field and another stunbreaker, I already have adren access due to elite and sword 5 and high adren generation due to furious. 33% less cc duration from dogged march and cleansing ire help with condis… Stomp could be quite useful

- shield #4
- mace #3, #5 #F1
- hammer #4, #5, #F1
- rifle #5
- Bull’s Charge, Kick, Stomp
It’s most commonly used with condition damage builds that employ main hand mace and shield (not always in the same combo) or hammer usually with an off-hand sword.
yeah its not worth it for the build im running… you know im kind of excited about this.. have needed something to spur my interest up for a while
Vaught, this the same build with better stats:

You lose 30 power and 25 cond but gain 7% crit dmg , and plus 50 to vitality toughness and healing.
Enjoy.
