Now Casting CS:GO with ESEA

Hey guys sup! On the forums people speak a lot about an implementation of TDM and Arena. Curiosity sprung up today to see which you guys prefer for a competitive format (to be used for tournaments, leagues, etc). Now to provide a distinction between the two…
TDM: Players can respawn every so many seconds, first team to a certain number of points wins the game
Arena: No respawns, multiple rounds, first team to win a certain number of rounds wins.
Which would you guys prefer as a competitive format, and why do you think this way?
No respawns ftw!
Also tanky amulets should be forbidden
Arena: No respawns and best out of 7 rounds.
Respawn pool’s so the weakest link on your team uses up the most respawns is another version of tdm. Also two perspectives to calculate. The viewer and the player. In my opinion arena would not be fun to watch.
Normally I would say arenas, but seeing as how there aren’t really any healing or support classes (closest is guardian) I think tdm better suits this game for 5v5 matches.
For 2v2 and 3v3, go Arena Style.
But for 5v5, I could see TDM working; maybe first team to 100 (5 min time limit, 5 points per kill as usual).
I’d personally prefer TDM so that there could be one round per map (if we ever got more maps). Just keep the amount of extra lives/tickets on the low side.
Hard to call at this moment! Right now, I’d like to see Arena, not too much of a fan of frequent respawning mechanics, but this may change as we finally get our hands on the new map soon!
