TOURNAMENT OF BUNKERS
My favorite thing about the tournament was seeing unorthodox stuff like the power necro and S/F ele who’s teams did relatively well overall.
The bunkers weren’t as fun to watch, but they serve a purpose in this game format.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
It’s a side effect of the capture points being small and one player being able to totally deny the cap as I’ve been saying since launch.
There would be much greater (successful) build diversity with larger points and allowing the team with more players on point to capture but at a slower rate depending on the number of enemies on point. Before anyone says that would encourage zerging the correct response is to split up into a group of three and a group of 2 and cap whatever points the zerg isn’t at. Even if they left a bunker on a point while the other 4 zerg the group of 3 would still be able to take it.
I repeat this constantly but I feel it needs to be said. You can balance the game all you want but the meta isn’t going to change much so long as the mechanics stay the same.

The S/F ele was a kittening joke. Did he ran a cele amulet as well? Why the kitten your typical d/d ele would need a focus on top of all? For more defence? Really? Against bunker-ish comp? And the best part, running traveller runes to fight on the point 90% of the game, are you kittening serious? Ppl lack common sense, and this is high tier GW2 pvp…
Pros:
no bunker guard
Easier to form a new group and maybe shorter teamfights
Cons:
chiz and class stacking
No oh look at moments
Boring to play against
Warrior, still too stronk
Healin signet and zerker stance, passives stronger than most actives
Boring to watch , as in teamfights spikes are hard to pull off, while on the other node its just “meh the tankier guy won after a minute”
Mini decap engie, you lose points fast but retaking takes hours
Class stacking, makes other classes left out and not viable

Actually, I wouldn’t say that the power necro was build or played to it’s best. I saw very little planning ahead and combos. Also, staff which is no no for me on such builds, but personal preference.
