My theory behind it is quite simple. Originally rank 80 was going to take years for someone to get, therefore arenanet decided not to make one at all.

After inspecting it closely, its dull, it lacks design, the animation is horrible, and its a lighting dragon.

To be honest, I think it took them about a month to design and have a deadline before the feature pack.

That’s just my theory, anyone else agree?

The truth us: People would never be happy with how it looks because the way the situation was handled sucked the epic was out of achieving it. The chocolate just isn’t sweet anymore, so it’s perceived as bitter. That’s my truthful theory.

Aside from that… The dragon emote truly is awful and underwhelming

100% correct, it was rushed and I think they only had one manager (that’s probably from PvE) look at it and go “yeah all good”.

They made the finisher before this patch, it was just never in the database because they didn’t want people to datamine it.

You guys don’t like dragons that shoot fireballs from their eyes and lightning bolts from their ass????

It’s a giant kittening dragon shooting lightning onto the corpse before flying away with a roar. Wtf did you expect?

Have you seen the rank 60 shark and rank 70 phoenix emotes? They are 200% better in design and animation.

Animation, maybe. Dragon is still cooler.

I don’t understand why it’s so small. I mean it’s a dragon…..the shark is bigger then it.

2. We don’t need everything to be BIGGER AND BIGGER.
3. Next rank milestone needs to be 100: World Champion.

Yea, the shark has the same animation effects as the bear/wolf/cat/deer/rabbit and only really differs by its size.

The phoenix isn’t far off from the dragon finisher. Both take up about the same size, last about the same amount of time, and have unique color/textures.

If there’s something that seriously merits trash talking it on the forums like some spoiled rich white high school kid, then I’m just not seeing it.

Compared with shark, tiger and so on it looks so different..totally new design just like a bad Yugi-Oh Monster.
