I don’t want to create another qq post, nor do I want to go into the details of why I think anet’s latest patch is bad for the health of PvP — other people have done that with a lot of elaboration already. All I want is to say that with over 1800 PvP matches under my belt, and playing all the classes after every major patch — not all of them as much as others, but enough to understand them intricately so I can counter them — I just personally feel that the state of PvP is now worse than it has ever been for the past 2+ years. I played since launch, but I didn’t get into PvP until early 2014.

Build diversity and viability is gone, and what we’re left with is a game where so much is going on with passives and so many professions deal extraordinary amounts of damage with little input required that it simply isn’t enjoyable anymore.

I want to just make my opinion heard. I know it doesn’t matter and I know a lot of you won’t agree. But to anet money talks, and I’m taking a break from PvP until next quarterly patch. That means my likelihood of gem purchases until then is significantly reduced.

Good luck to everyone that stays on board o7

Exactly the same opinion what ever we say here they wan’t listen so money talks.

I stop playing my favorite class in the game for me in PVP and I will not spend a cent to this game until they come to their sense.

When I started this game 4 years ago the reason I buy it I can play the top end PVP, there was no grind to be able to do meaningful PVP and build diversity.

Now build diversity is gone because of this ESL dream which will never happen for GW2, for the sake of 100 people and the unbalance they create, whole player base must be punished, that makes sense isn’kitten I wish they stop one second and look around, how many people started PVPing and how many people stop PVPing after ESL.

I agree with you and I’m sure their own numbers will show a steady decline of players in the coming weeks.

I agree. In my opinion it all comes down to balance. Simply, they don’t balance often enough. What’s worse is that when balance is attempted, ANET balances pvp and pve game modes with the same skills across each mode. The power creep is absolutely fine for pve’s new and challenging encounters. But in pvp it just doesn’t work because pvp encounters are fundamentally different. so when we tone something down in pvp, it hurts pve and vise versa.
