I just got out of a match with a player who Akitten in the worst possible way today, not only were they not actively trying to help us win, they were spamming to prevent us from having call outs. We all reported him, hopefully he’ll be banned soon but we will never know if he is (unlike other games which tell you that “A player you reported has received punishment” e.g. League)

This topic is not something that I thought I would ever have to bring up in the PvP forums. This has been a rampant problem in WvW since the inception, but has gotten infinitely worse with the cross map feature added recently. I have a video taken from a guildie that shows just how bad the problem is on an average night on a certain server.
I will not be sharing that video as it links to his personal Youtube account which uses his real name, but if a Dev PMs me and wants it I will show it to them.

This whole situation could be avoided if they put even a very loose spam filter into team chat. Yes this could catch people doing legitimate callouts if they are very active but if they could make it so that you cannot use say 50 messages in a minute or 30 in 10 seconds or something fairly extreme but in a short time period it would solve this issue and shut down this troll, and all trolls like him.

I come from the Trolliest WvW server out there, were infamous, you should know which I’m talking about. I could care less what I’m called.

When they are actively preventing me from making call outs to try to keep playing the game is when it becomes an issue.

I don’t think they do anything about reports, every time I get viciously harassed by some kittenbag and report them I still see them online every day still harassing people. If they got any type of significant punishment for it they might stop… but judging by how they keep up the same disgusting behavior I’d say they don’t get any type of punishment for it, which is really bad. It’s sad that people can’t log onto a game and play in peace without some kitten calling them all kinds of disgusting things and constantly harassing them for no other reason but they feel like it.

This is why we need to be able to vote to kick players from the match. A unanimous vote of the other 4 players and the offender is gone.

Works in other games. Why not here?

If you block him you won’t see what he writes in teamchat, he can’t flood you then.
