I am still new to Necro (still kinda bad) but 1 vs 1 against a Pistol Whip Thief is just a one sided fight at the moment. (I do intend to make tons more content and not just for GW2 so subscribe if you are a lover of multiple games)

I hope you enjoy this video. This is my team, Team DKR vs Team Paradigm. Team Paradigm are undoubtedly one of the best GW2 professional teams in the world right now, so fighting them and not getting rofl stomped was an awesome feeling for us as a team as Team Paradigm have said its insanely rare any team gets past 200 points against them.

We figured out some new tactics through watching the full RAW file of this and Team Paradigm’s stream, and feel when we next vs them we stand a better chance at winning (depending if they roll 2 Thief’s again)

I feel you man, the major problems we faced individually and as a team was that Paradigm ran 2 Thiefs and also I am very new to Necro (and the game) I never played BETA so my awareness of things to look out for is not amazing at the moment and it felt that once one of the Thiefs connected to me in melee range it was just game over lol.

Was a fun game though as we feel we learnt a lot vs’ing a Pro team

Wasn’t necessarily two thieves that lost you the game. You guys required more treb control than that, and not running a Mesmer on your treb severely handicaps you at this point in time. It was most likely a combination of the lack of mobility along with trebuchet control.

Paradigm is self named pro team. They are good but not so great as they say They want to make good marketing saying everywhere how good they are ;P

I feel the need to correct something: This was not Team Paradigms number one team. Paradigm Shift is their secondary guild where they let recruits in I guess. Afaik their number one team consists mostly of Teldo, Xeph, Reyon and Azshene.

Agreed with the above – isn’t the main team. And ‘They are good but not so great as they say’ is a somewhat silly thing to say when they literally haven’t lost a single game yet, but haters gonna hate.

I’m not trying to derail this thread, but I just want to clarify here.

Team Paradigm and Paradigm Shift are 2 separate entities under the same banner. Paradigm Shift is our main guild within the game, our teams also represent this guild when outside of tournaments to be part of the chat. Team Paradigm consists of our two main teams; NA and EU. These are our 2 tournament groups.

As a collective team, TP EU (not sure about NA) hasn’t lost any games yet. We do occasionally play with viewers, friends and fans for the fun of it, but we don’t count those games as part of our record since they’re not played as a whole team. Just to clear up any confusion.

I’m sure I’d still beat you… alone :P

So this is supposed to be one of the best competitive sPVP teams out their, and they won off the back of a Thief spamming Quickness with Pistol Whip…. And people are seriously trying to defend Quickness?? This game is in more trouble than I thought.

In addition to what Azshene already stated I would like to expand upon a few more things.

For one thing, the players you played against in this video are not a team. In fact, we only had 4 members from Paradigm Shift, none of which are part of our tournament teams. Our fifth player is a friend from outside the guild. This was the first tournament where the 5 of us played together.

Secondly, this a pug. We were not playing any specific lineup or build, we basically played whatever we had loaded up at that time.

Lastly, my stream is my personal stream and is not a stream for our tournament teams. In my description I state that I am a member of the guild, and nothing more.

On a sidenote: I have no problems with someone using video material from my stream, but you used it without even asking me or gaining my permission. I do appreciate that you atleast linked my twitch account. I am going to ask you to add my youtube to your description as well: http://www.youtube.com/user/TeamTempestGaming

It’s a public domain, he doesn’t need your permission. If you don’t want people using your videos, don’t upload them to a public area.

:D I actually haven’t played much GW2 lately tbh, no ranking system and its very rare we face good teams like yourselves so it gets dull kinda fast. Waiting on them paid tournys
