Is there any significance to the fact that 99% of the time my team is called “Team Silentshoes”?
It used to be random before the patch. Is it ALWAYS your name now?
I believe it takes the player with the highest MMR. Let me ping Evan or Branden. They’re both away from their desks…. so, let’s just go with Justin = correct.

well if you get put in a team full of players with lower MMR than yours, it would still be your team!

trust the matchmaking! there will always be players whose MMR is higher than you, and players whose MMR lower than you!
well, so far i have not seen my <name> team appear yet.

not really though, these 2 days, i have been beaten hard, but i believe our team tried their best. and when my team do win, we kinda end up steam rolling the other team. T_T
Yeah it announced the name of one of my teammates so many times, that finaly I decided it sounds really nice for a team name and I’m about to create a team with his name.
Btw do you know about this bug. I haven’t reported it, because I don’t think it’s that important and I’m not sure how to explain it correctly, my English is not that good.
If there are 3 or more people from one guild, it announces it for both sides, like when we play 3 people from our guild + 2 randoms against a full pug team, it announces “Team Revolution incoming vs Team Revolution incoming”.
Then if I hover the mouse on the blue and the red icon on the top of the screen, it says for both “your team”. Or for both “the opposite team”. I’m not sure how it was “help your team to increase the points” or something like this. It might be not a big deal, but before this helped me to remember what color was my team in case I have forgotten.
I’m pretty sure it will show the guild name if there is a majority on the team. Else it will show the highest MMR, or it might be your character.

I played some PvP on saturday for the first time since the patch, mostly unranked arenas.
However, when I joined some friends to make a team for Ranked arenas, each of the ranked games I played announced “Team Robin Bundles” (my character name) even though two of the five of us rep’d the same guild.
Oh and also I’m the worse player out the 5, I can’t see how my mmr would be higher, especially since the others were better and had played more pvp in ranked arenas since patch

Maybe you actually do have a higher MMR, because you are a better team-player than they are. Maybe they are all good 1v1, but you make the whole team better and the teams you have played on tend to do better than expected.
