Just had this gem in teamQ

“hey I am rank 14 and thats pretty high. I know how to backstab so I will own them all”
I then said arena isnt for low level players to learn, hotjoin is for that.
“I have the top rank in hotjoin every game so I am clearly good enough”

We got crushed, and he also had no score at the end of it. Dagger/Dagger as well, kitten signet and spamming deathblossom.

His excuse at the end?
“you should ress me, you are a mesmer you can take damage”

Hotteam and hotsolo are the new place to be.

I know what would solve it in a single swoop, a single move that puts no restrictions, no limits or requirements needed.

Remove rank and chest rewards from teamQ and soloQ.

(or you know, just take the cap off hotjoin as all those rangers who like to sit at range and pewpewpewpew with clerics amulet and runes of the pack just keep on coming. And of course Shinobi. Shinobi needs to die a billion times over. Only good thing is there woeful performance as a thief deflects other classes from noticing a few oddly powerful things thieves have)

Man, I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time! It should be made clear that Hotjoin and SoloQ are the more competitive formats..

and i also know that you are a soloq hero who only moved to soloteamq recently.
and you spent most of your time being outside of leaderboard ranking, even tho every one knows how easy it is to get in.

Pretty fun most engis i meet going tpvp pug in solo are high soloq ranked (Skyhammer abusing much?) and they’re not even on tque ladder and they can’t go for basic rotations (Aka afk on point 24/7) while being like top 100 soloq rofl…but yeah, since it’s second account i don’t give a kitten. I hardly give kittens on first already…

i earned all my rank point (r51 currently) entirely through hotjoins. i prefer hotjoin. no pressure to all other modes.

Clik’s style..if i were you i wouldn’t be so proud of that but…whatever..i think the term “hj hero” is no longer in use since pretty much everything under 3-400 team ladder got dumbed down to hj level..you can get top 200 tque going pug alone like i did on this acc…rofl it’s beyond dumb…

pug in teamQ is not SOLO join and is same bullkitten like any team

when you play real-solo in teamQ you dont go rank 200 cause you get farmed by premades/teams

teamQ rank means nothing cause any ranked player farmed randoms/solo player with a premade or team

If you look at this account you’ll see that has personal best 200 in team que…going pug solo and only with shatter mesmer because i still want to play it even if it’s out of meta, so it’s not that hard getting to 200…at all, almost noone goes in with 4 ppl…most are 2 or 3 ppl pug so you’re more likely get 3 ppl trioque and another one going solo like you at best and keep in mind one is shatter mesmer, premades around 300 are still pretty awful to lose vs something like this..

I only came back to the game about 2 months ago and got on the leaderboard. Slowed down on the soloQ and slipped off it. Its amazing how many of this forum have a little clique and you continually move the goal posts each time.

“oh top 100 or your just a scrub being carried by better players”

Besides which any time someone has an opinion people quickly check the leaderboard to see if that opinion has any value. You cannot actually judge the issue unless a top player tells you what to think. Its sad really.

I must say the gw2 pvp elite crew are perhaps the most vile part of this community. Everyone is kitten and worthless unless your top (whatever number they are upwards). One day this game will just be a handful of players facing a few others and you will have no one to blame but yourselves.

This is because people think the leaderboards mean something when they don’t, in one day I went from 400 to 90% by losing 1 game. The real “elite” participate in the weekly ESL tournaments and don’t spend time on the forums slagging off anyone not in the top 100.

Aaand guess what?…pretty much all ESL players are in top 100 teamq (Top 50 more likely)….so your argument is invalid…

Much easier to get top 100 tQ than it is soloQ.

I would say even more, here is no “elite”, “competitive” or whatever pvp in gw2. Sohreey!
First, there is not even enough spvp players to form high pyramid of skill. Second, game seriously lacks sufficient depth both in class gameplay and (especially) teamplay. Thus compared to some other games “top” teams/players just marginally better that average guy, difference in amount of skill is very comparable to observational error. Third, the whole idea of gw2 is just anticompetitive, I guess you knew it when you signed your accounts, did you?
Some may take it as insult, but don’t have wrong expectations from casual game and don’t produce hate on this basis. The game is still quite fun and so is spvp! Just not in that way.

I do nothing else than playing Pvp, got our own team and right now I find the rewarding system absolute crap. And you’d like to remove it? Thumbs up, really!

same, rank 63 atm, almost entirely hotjoin,
(i’ve played less than 20 tournaments cba with the metafest there!)
really sucks that they robbed us of 8v8.

im not judging you for being low rank or saying you are useless, i have nothing against new players, only it gets annoying when some of them have some huge ego.
i’m talking about if you are low end or not , because your rank is low and it directly resulting your match making with low rank people, that’s how it is.

people say leaderboards doesnt mean sh, because it takes little to get on high ranks , and other stuff.,

BUT you can’t deny the fact that good players usually secure top spots without trying. OE almost always in top 200 and he doesnt even try, just like most other known players.
which means LB does reflect skills, if you can’t reach any higher ranks with normal playing(constantly), then your skill level is just about there.
