Why are so many people completely ignoring map chat in ranked arena? They join, and never read, talk or look at the team chat.

People can’t even say “Hi” or “I’m going to home node” at the start of the match. They live and play in their own world and don’t care about their team.

I usually say what I am going to do, and ask who wants to defend home (if I am bit playing a defensive build).

I think both are true. While people are indeed in their own world, they once knew talking improves your chance of winning. However, after listening to others and losing, some then did a 180 and decided never to listen to others again. Just saying nothing is also a lot easier, cause you don’t risk being wrong. Other than that it’s rude, it’s really quite gutless and lazy to say nothing.

Mapchat is delayed info. If I say “2 home,” chances are they will read that when I’m dead and the info no longer has any use.

I think it is hard for people to care about their teams when solo queueing. There are a lot of newer players who don’t understand maps and tactics involved within them. From my perspective when you have three people killing Svanir in Forest while whoever went mid gets zerged down it leaves a bad taste in more experienced players mouths.

I tend not to talk much. As half the time I feel like I just don’t have anything nice to say, or when I do have nice teams, everyone is doing what they should be doing anyhow.

I kinda figure that new players will either learn on their own or just lose a ton of games. When I have told people that came from wvw into spvp why you don’t do certain things I have been sassed, so it isn’t worth my time.

I hide the chat because i only read trash , useless comments about how bad is someone because he did this and that

Pointless , if is for points its just to see the map to where they are running to

That is actually the point. People get thrassed because they don’t read this chat. It’s crucial for less organized people to use the chat.

it realy does help , if the team luckly wipe 4/5 of the opposing team and the last one if decapping far and mid while your busy near home , and the respawned foes decide to go to there home to zerg recap and get some kills because 3/5 of your team is on far , that gives them 15pts plus cap.

the person on far could say 4 at far going mid.

people at mid / home won’t go far to feed them more points when they respawn and then can decide to ether take the risk and flank far or go mid to help halt the zerging, while a roamer goes to decap somewhere else or grab a ferosity or somthing. information of this stature is very important , it leads to team wipes and broken rotations those 15pts+ cap quickly scales up to a hundred points unless counter rotated or some team memebers dely the opposing faceroll till rotations are restored , all that from a simple 4 at far go mid to counter , one flank far (if the teams mates are smart they will use this information to there advantage to help the outcome)

turn on team chat and ignore the haters.
