Temporal Curtain (Mesmer pull)
The range on it is ridiculous.
Unless you’re standing directly on top of the curtain, one dodge is enough to put you out of its pull range.
What the one second delay does is gives you the chance to see the curtain and dodge out of range. As it is now, there is no possible counter play because it can be detonated before the visual effect even shows up.
There are more problems like these…. same as the engineer knockback on flamethrower. No kittening way to this kitten coming, same like focus pull.

Adding one second delay? Who said that?
This ability is annoying yes but I fear such delay would make using it as a thief Shadow Refuge counter too hard to time right unless you were already on the right weapon set.
I heard counter play muttered in this thread! Kudos to the person who actually understand what gives PvP the ability to have skillfull, tactical decisions.
Unlike the two people designing the PvP nuances in this game.

Binding Blade (Pull) says Hi.

Lets stop this train before it goes out of control. Temporal Curtain needs a fix because it affects everyone in its range and also almost always ensures a shatter (a huge source of AOE damage). Not all moves should be predictable. If everything is telegraphed and predictable then all effectiveness of said moves is removed. Also get ready for the blow back from this change. You guys complain about focus now but get ready to complain about illusionary swordsmen and duelists. I know if this change works out like I’m predicting, I will immediatley be switching out my focus.
Also I agree curtain needs a change but I feel strongly that making it predictable is the wrong way to go about it. One idea might be if you cross the curtain then you get a debuff similar to binding blades. Only debuffed players can then be pulled.
I think the range of this move is fine but I tend to agree that maybe a enemy spell alerter (similar to big bomb on engies) might be a good change to help inform combatants

Right. As I said in my post, my concern is the range is so high that the visual effect will still be too difficult to see.
For reference, I’ve been pulled from near the edge of the graveyard point in Legacy of the Foefire to the middle before. That’s too much.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought you can’t dodge it.
It will still knock/pull (slight decrease in pull distance if dodge) you down regardless if you dodge or now.
The range on it is the problem. Seeing it coming was never an issue for me. It was double pulls with two mesmers dragging you off a cliff-side where you aren’t even visible to the Mesmers pulling you.
How does a delay help this problem when the Temporal Curtain pulling you isn’t even visible to you? That’s how crazy the range is.
I love pulling people on my Mesmer with it, but I know it’s overkill at this point with the range.
