So I have met two different groups of people.
A. One that calls joining random games “sPVP”. Playing tournaments “tPVP”.
B. The other (me included) calls tournaments “tPVP” and joining random games “Hot-Join”.
Now this isn’t a major deal in the slightest, but people from group A got on my case for not calling it sPVP when I asked if someone wanted to hot-join.
How does this not make sense to group A? “sPVP” stands for structured pvp. All of the pvp within Heart of the Mists is structured pvp. Therefore joining randoms & doing tournaments are both technically a form of sPVP. That’s why we have back-seated the term “sPVP” in favor of “hot-join”. So hot-join refers to joining randoms, and doing tournaments is doing tPVP, and being in the Heart of the Mists doing anything at all is doing sPVP.
That’s my random nerd rant for today.
