As someone who has frequented this forum for the past few months, I Just wanted to that I have never seen more posts from the devs than there have been the last few weeks. They have answered questions in a respectable and personable manner since a rather explosive event three weeks ago.

Granted, this all comes in light of the coming patch. But we cannot deny that they have been more personal and less vague in their responses to our questions and concerns.

I, for one, am appreciative of the obvious turnaround in public relations—however slight. It shows a maturity in management, and in the community developers. This forum especially has received the most attention and warrants at least a modicum of appreciation from its members.

Thanks.

I been thinking the exact same thing. They likely sat around and decided that they keep hearing people QQ on the forums about being ignored, so they will try a different approach.

The amount of QQ hasn’t changed, but that’s the internet for you.

We WvWers said the same before the Bloodlust-Ruins saga. Look at the utter blackout on the WvW board now. What makes you think this is a permanent change?
We can’t even be sure the contract of the posting devs won’t soon end.

Indeed, a thank you from me is in order. I tend to criticize quite a bit, but it’s becouse I love this game so much. I think the devs, generally speaking, are doing a fine job.
Even though profession balance is in need of serious attention, they seem to be trying the best they can, that can only take flatteries from me.

Indeed, i just wish the changes that occur would also be based on the conversations we have around these forums…. but seems to be that decap engineer, PW thiefs, warriors… despite all the feedback are not an issue for them currently.

I think it’s fantastic to see the greater interaction. Even if they don’t add anything to the discussion apart from a personal thought.

Wanted to give a +1 to the thank-you.

Plus, reading the pre-release posts is like getting a list of most requested wishes/suggestions I’ve seen around here. I know there’s a lot of negativity and complaining about the specifics. Even I’m not claiming everything you’ve implemented is perfect. But I get a little flutter of happiness every time I see a new item that you will be implementing to fulfill a long-wished-for request.

I was in LOTRO before this, and one of the biggest reasons I left was the way they persistently disregarded people’s requests and suggestions. You guys are not like that, and I appreciate it.

xoxo

That’s because they are only an issue for this minority of a minority, and thereby deemed irrelevant when compared with the very loud and true metrics that are never shared.

Thank you reds for making the forum more colorful red.
