I just recently got back into PvPing and boy did I forget how annoying that voice was. I understand it’s purpose. It’s to update you on developments and give new people an idea of what they should be doing. Well a glance at my mini map or some text flashing on my screen tells me plenty about the state of the map. And after about 5 matches I get the just of every map. I don’t need some gruff voice telling me “Hold onto your points. Seize theirs!” like he’s sharing with me some insider secret.

A checkbox in the options menu for “Mute that annoying voice” would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can turn the voice of in the sound options, basically all in game speech.

As for that unfortunatly you have all or nothing.
I’d like the really important voice messages still intact like : “your lord is under attack”
Points i see on minimap myself, but somehow often enough players attacking your lord are not shown, or enemy players having the orb etc etc.

The sad part is that if you play the game long enough you still hear them say it….. Even when the sound is mute.

You can’t deny Duke Nukem….but how long have you been playing? at least they removed the actual annoying ones like:

“You couldn’t keep the keep”
“The keep if yours! Keep it!”

mind you they were mainly exclusive to Niflhel, but I can’t remember if other maps had equally stupid quotes.

It was nice to have those removed, but the voice still sounded quite unnatural.
I don’t know if it is meant to be “unique” from the beginning but the feedbacks on that voice have been a bit polarized—-and understandable.
The voice is very vigorous and you know what, it is great when you are playing a Norn character~~but after awhile it starts to become a spiky sounding, distracting thing.

I too wish there is an option to turn it off while still keeping my characters’ dialogue voices.
