The Diamond Skin "Nerf"
Is actually a buff.
But on the other hand ele’s wont be seen as often because of cele removal, so there’s that.
And here we have someone who has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about. Keep going buddy.

Semi-active.
Well, a lot of ppl will see it as a nerf mainly because they would actually have to fight properly instead of playing like a brain dead zombie against condition builds. The proposed change will make it so that they would actually have to be way more careful or build for more condition removal.

Right, because 1 condi removal per second as a baseline passive is “Playing smart”
Complete crap change….ds is a buff in many ways

First of all, that’s 1 condi removal per second with 1 second ICD, so really it’s per 2 seconds.
Second, it’s a trait that’s only there if the ele has above 75% hp. 5 conditions every 10 seconds when you’re above 75% hp.
Now let’s compare this to pre-nerf DS. And yes, it is a nerf.
The old DS completely stops conditions from being put on a DS user while it’s active. It’s literally immune to any condition effects without being dropped past 90% health.
The new DS has a lower health threshold, but lets you apply conditions from the start. So now you can slap the ele with the important conditions that you want on them, and cover it with spare conditions. Since you can put poison/chill/vuln on the ele, as long as they’re not cleansed by the DS trait itself, the ele has a much harder time recovering to above the health threshold, and even if they do, you can just keep re-applying the conditions.
The change from “immunity to conditions” to “allow conditions but cleanse at x interval” is a nerf.
This whole idea of “supposedly strong effect” while above some health threshold is beyond stupid. I don’t know how many times I have said this, but ofc it’s like talking to a wall.
Such a dumb change, passive too. They should have gone with “2 seconds of resistance upon attunement swapping” that a lot of people have suggested.

with ICD, but yea.

Sure, whatever would have made it balanced. But it would at least have been active condition removal/immunity instead of stuff that just happens when your health is high.
Its not about a buff or a nerf. Its about removing a lame mechanic. They could replace current DS with something 100 times better and it would still be a good change.
