Many people claim Anet doesn’t know what they are doing. You are all wrong. Slowly removing rewards and players from pvp has been the plan all along… you really think they want you slaying others when you could be buying their 10$ harvest sickle and slaying dragons…. This is were anet was brilliant…. I myself have fallen for it as I am officially retiring from pvp and moving to the more rewarding clickville that is pve… the great migration has begun and it will never end until the last few players finally fall from their throne and join the masses on their crusade for a dragon they can all kill while eating with one hand and clicking with another….. Sorry for this inconvenient truth….

True story, there is no other explanation why remove glory before the replacement is ready.
Im 100% sure that no rewards for PVP will make their new WvW season alot more popular.

I havnt played since saturday morning when I got a dishonorable debuff for Dcing. Now I only log on to see whats the news, whats is the patch stuff and check on my friends. Ive been playing Diablo 3 until another pvp game thats worth it comes out or they fix pvp here.

PvP’ers have been leaving this game, constantly, since launch.
Only a few hundred people in all of NA play GW2 TPvP right now.

If Anet hasn’t gotten the memo by now, that what they are doing is bad… I think they are a bit too dense to change.

ANet already won by making pvp players buy this game.
ANets profit increases when the time you play decreases.

Some have left, yes, but people leave games all the time. However, there are still a lot of people playing and the active forums are proof of that. Sure, there are a lot of grumpy posts, but that’s mostly proof that people will stick with GW2 even if it’s not exactly the game that people want it to be. =P

Yeah this games population is at a all time low.

Guild wars 2 is not the first MMORPG that players have left and it wont be the last. Guild wars 1 for as good as it apparently was still had player leaving. Players leaving doesn’t really mean much in the grand scheme of things, especially players in a game mode that doesn’t even generate income for them.

The reason why Anet hasn’t change can be seen in Ncsoft’s quarterly reports. For all the noise PvPers make, the overall game isn’t really being affect by the outcome of sPvPer, thus it doesn’t matter much for them. It is in their best interest to get the paying customers from PvE to PvP to grow it, than to keep the current “loyal” PvPers dont spend as much as their Pve counter parts and because they (anet) knows that there are no good alternatives short of leaving the genre to play fps or mobas. A perfect example of what I mean is you. You apparently left the game months ago and yet here you are almost everyday posting on the forum for a game you apparently have zero faith in. You might call it putting Anet in their place but I see something else.

TL:DR The recent changes seem to show their focus on bringing more from the PvE side than pleasing the loyal PvPers given the fact that they will stick with the game.

Their story is terrible. SWTOR’s 1-50 class stories roflstomp the crap out of GW2. FFXIV and WoW are also better by far.

Their PvP is terrible. MOBAs are the best, Smite, SWTOR, FFXIV, WoW are better.

Their PvE is terrible. FFXIV, WoW, SWTOR, even Rift is better.

Their RvR still doesn’t hold a candle to Dark Age of Camelot.

Their Event system is buggy and terrible. FFXIV does it better, way better.

You paid 50 bucks one time for the game.

You get what you pay for.

Edit: only reason I post on the forums is because I was lied to and want to help the ignorant mass of people who play this game find a real one that is worth the only thing we run out of – time.
