Unprovoked, I receive the most snide and offensive comments and PMs when I use it…thus further increasing the entertainment value I extract from the game. Its great against the newest batch of Legendary Champs and PVEers who spent all but 2 weeks in hotm and think they know it all and better than you bcoz their finisher is higher up the chain.

Rabbit finisher is over used and doesn’t deliver the subtle message of being outplayed by a noob as good as the deer.

Also, there is a ginormous skill and overall knowledge disparity between the very first r80s or at least those who got there before any buffs were introduced and the recent ones. HUGE.

noone was r80 before 15 april 2014, when ranks still used to mean something, there had never been a REAL first r80…not even close to it since only ONE rank from 69 was 450k (Yeah right, 450 thousand rank points for going from 69 to 70…then 450k again from 70 to 71 and so on) and that was insanely long (Got my r70 myself just some days before the stupid patch that dumbed down r80 to 1kk kicked in trashing more than 2.5kk of my old points giving me a reterded emote looking like a failed 3d max rendering representing some sort of flying electric chicken)

let’s say there was a huge difference between those who got r80 while they were r55 and those who already were r65+ before 15\04\2014 since r70 required more than 3kk rank points in the old system, and it was THREE TIMES the amount of pnts needed for r80 now (Rank 80 was 8kk rank points before patch..quite a bit different)

tl;dr: r80 became a joke after 15 april 2014 patch…like all ranks anyway, after that you can now go from r1 to r80 in pretty much 4 months or even less since last year and that is nothing, no matter if you got it farming hotjoin or playing tpvp

so just chill down…noone cares about r80, everyone who’s not a total noob (And many still are) is r80, it’s like being in bronze league..

if you bother reading notes from the dumbest patch ever in the hystory of dumb patches here you go…

I was always 1 tier behind the leading group – so showing off a bear while top guys had cool shark was meh, therefore i always trolled with rabbit.

Since the patch ive been using llama, but ill give the trolling deer a try.

That’s the most awesome finisher, and let me tell you why.

It starts with a big sword dropping from the sky into the corpse.
Then a shield appears with my guilds logo.
After that, two more swords get stuck into the shield.

This reminds me so much of GW1 Hardmode.
Where if you completed a map you’d get a symbol of a helmet, with 2 swords stuck in it.

It’s funny how some people on the forums cry when the super hardcore pvp players get on the top of the LB instead of the real top players, and then complain that they can’t show off with the finisher they grinded like crazy to obtain. Guess what, old timers, rank didn’t mean more in your time than it does now: it’s still a measure of how many matches you played, not how good you are. Imo, when you reach shark in the new system, you have had all the experience you need, and be better than the old shark ranks. For some reason I’m pretty sure you’re the same people who asked for the old LB to be revamp, because you couldn’t deal with the fact that some casuals were better than you.

I’m the most OP noob in all of Tyria and I’m 100% legit rabbit ranked. A lot of newer r80s are dumb, I pewp on them when I get a chance.

I just want to point out that the trolling is a lot less effective if you’re wearing sparkly armor. You’ve got to put on that first level armor that’s totally mismatched and torn looking to really sell it.

And you HAVE to show the “Deer Commander” title while rocking that finisher!

No. In skyhammer i use spectral wall, elsewhere it’s either spectral armor or wurm.

Have you guys seen the new finisher they just made? I think it was available for preview in game since Jan 13, 2015, not sure when it will be released.

This one could be higher on the troll list, but thing is the game randomly resets finishers, so you see poeple with this too often,

Dang, I’ve been using Rabbit for too long. Sounds like Deer really is the answer. [EDIT: Rabbit is automatically available, so it could mean you’re a first-timer, instead of a beginner who has made a tiny bit of progress.] I don’t use the scrub gear either… although that’s probably a harder thing to bring oneself to do.

… But the title should most certainly be the first rank point title (Gladiator). It is the least demanding pvp title to get, so it shows:
A.) You’ve played pvp more than 1 or 2 games
B.) You probably haven’t played much pvp
C.) For some reason you are showing off this easy, garbage title; is your brain fully functional?
It’s better than Combat Healer or Dungeon Master or whatever… It’s a pvp title that sucks, instead of a non-pvp title that isn’t too great. People know there are pve scrubs running around in pvp, so Combat Healer and Dungeon Master sound like pushovers, but in a respectable way (i.e. you must be new to pvp). Gladiator, however, is not nearly as forgivable. “You must be braindead.”

And that’s why I always hang back and observe the players first before joining a team in Hotjoin.

But back on topic, it doesn’t really matter to me what finishers the enemy uses on me. If anything, the whole “flag spike” finisher annoys me more than anything else, because either the player doesn’t care enough to at least customise their finisher, or they’ve gotten hit by the finisher reset bug.

Newsflash for you: Status no longer matters. It is easy to get from rank1 to rank80.
