Many times I’ve heard people say that feb. would be THE PvP patch (I believe Anet themselves stated that jan and feb would be for wvw and pvp?). Since november we have been told that custom arena’s are coming soon and so far, based upon the information released so far, the “PvP” patch will only include a new map, rating (which is now already somewhat implemented), and better rewards? Besides that it seems the PvE part of this patch is actually pretty huge with the new guild missions etc.. Can we atleast have a bit more info on upcoming PvP changes?

the guild missions blog is up. maybe there will be another one for PVP changes in the coming days before the 26th. If not, we can always rely on the patch notes come the 26th.

Incorrect. We have not been told custom arenas are coming soon because ANet themselves have said they dont plan on implementing garbage style, i mean Arena style pvp. I think you meant custom servers, which they didnt say was soon anyways. Also, they told us that the pvp patch was in February, they never said January, and it’s February now..and….they’ve said that the patch on the 26th is the patch they were talking about…..so………..i think you just havent been paying attention. You are probably just confused like everyone else that believes everything that’s merely based on word of mouth.

If you go back to the posts of November Anet stated to be working on Custom matches, which I meant by arena’s, now we’re 4 months ahead and still no custom matches announced? I mean in December they called feb. To be the PvP patch month and for such thing you’d expect something big in terms of PvP but so far what I mentioned in my first post doesn’t seem to me all that big and yet they included some whole new PvE content which imo is bigger than just a new PvP map and rating. Everything I said was based upon posts made by the devs. Anyway maybe I’m wrong and will the 26th patch have a great ammount of new PvP content but what they announced so far seems a tad lackluster to me. Don’t get me wrong, I love this game but I think they’re slacking on the PvP part of this game :P

Anet seem to focus this game on pve. Even the pvp/wvw updates has more for pve than anyone else.
