So GW2 came out we bought it, played and it felt good at the start. The class balance was somehow better back then and now all i see is bleeds, blinds, immobalizes, fear, burn, thousands of pets and clones blocking the melee attacks etc. Why is that? It doesn’t even feel like pvp, it’s more like who can spam more conditions and use stealth/clones/fear until they drain ur hp. It’s cleary advantage of range classes (mesmer,ranger and i can say thief also cuz well good luck catching him). I feel forced to play condition spammer and we was promised we can play what suits our style (yeah we can, but in a clear disadvantage). I’m a warrior but the problem appears in the rest of the classes who choose a melee build too. You have to do something about that and from all the different choices you have chosen to buff conditions and add even more. All u have to do is nerf the conditions, even remove some from classes, but don’t buff a certain class with all of that, give a chance to melee build so he can survive enough time to deal enough dmg. 2/3 of the time close range classes are being kite till they bleed out. Either nerf cond and leave the sustain they have or leave the cond like that but make them more vulrnarable. There isn’t any balance right now in dmg output and survivability and it’s getting bored to look 3-4 build of 2-3 classes in every structured match. Make new tiers, update old ones but do it considering the weapon types every class have so ppl can choose one and build up for it. And all u have to do is balance those build to be equal – high dps with less sustain, low dps with higher sustain, high cond dmg with less cc, low cond dmg with more cc. Right now we have high cond dmg with insane cc.
