50% is the mathematical point where you’re playing at your skill level. Which is what the goal should be. (sorry no farming lesser players is not “competitive”)

You can however advance in ranked even at a 50% rate. It just takes time.

It should be, but due to divisions having nothing to do with your skill, it isn’t. Remember, if both the person A and the person B are playing at their skill levels, with a 50% win rate, and the first one is in Emerald, while the second is in Diamond, that doesn’t mean person B is more skilled than person A. The only thing it means is that person B stopped improving later than person A.
