1) Toughness = power+precision
normal Toughness< power+precision or Toughness+ compassion = power+precision
So what we see now?
Excellent protection reduces damage and critical to a minimum. What does the physical dd build useless. For example a character with the build of the Toughness, power, vitality easy win character dressed for Power, Toughness, vitality. Here need some balance. Maybe you can make ignore a part of the defense. Some tanks never die, because they skills get them more heal or miss damage then you can do… Its guard,enginer,elem. Buff +low damage give free win.

2) PvP arenas
2.1) 1×1 Arena (random connection with a all servers) + rating system. ok Gw 2 command game, but this does not mean that it is only a team game. 1×1 Shows your personal skill. Now, most players do not have the skill and all the game is a Zerg and deficit. 1×1 REAL HELP players be MORE SKILLFULL.
2.2) 2×2 Arena (random connection with a all servers) + rating system
2.3) 3×3 Arena (random connection with a all servers) + rating system

3) Unbalanced skills and useless trait
backstab – Unbalanced. Reason all know. Need fix it. Almost all time buff on enginier and elementalist – give some umbalance. Mesmer, warrior,necro dont have stayble buff sistem. So why this class can get many buffs almost all time and we not?? Buffs unreal help you run, damage, heal and def.

Mesmer bad trait : (testing in pvp by me)

Domination : 4 , 6, 12
Dueling : 6 , 7, 11
Chaos : 1 , 9
Inspiration : 3 , 10
Illusions : 7 , 12

You can follow any responses to write to me. Man that there are many useful Traits. But believe me I test all them in pvp is useless second half too much weak to take it.

On topic, one thing tanks lack is damage, this is their balancing. Theoretically speaking, one guy specced for power+crit vs another guy specced for toughness should kill each other in about the same time, all other things equal. Condition damage also hurts tanks since they don’t usually stack tons of vitality, or are Guardians and thusly have low base HP pools. This is all I can really say since you don’t single out any particular class or skill/build.

While i would love the idea of a 1v1 arena for giggles, i think it would be extremly useless. The way the game is balanced atm, mesmers are the kings of 1v1, where other classes is bringing other stuff to the tables for teamfights and mobility.

The absolute smallest battles should be 2v2, even then I think it would be better if the smallest were 3v3 IMO. I wouldn’t mind a dueling feature introduced for 1v1s within the PvE world though.

The counter to high toughness is in general condition damage. They are countering your power burst build with the thing designed to counter burst and you are complaining?
