I am 52-0 (mike.4839) in rated team q — 51 points (dc once)
I am currently ranked 180th on the leaderboard.
You wanted this leaderboard to represent skill and effort. I have played 5 games a day and dominated every single one. Yet I am still behind people like Lexcicty who had 100+ points with about 120 wins and 160 loses…
At this point everyone is aware the leaderboards are basically time played. But why are people not being punished more for losing? You guys make it seem like effort is more important than results. Make losses automatic -1 for everyone for starters. And add MMR to the leaderboards. Currently you can win half your games in the lowest MMR bracket and still be rank one….
I don’t understand how these leaderboards represent anything other than who has absolutely nothing to do this winter break…

Maybe they went 120-0 then lost the next 160. lol

I would be ok with an automatic -1 if I didn’t have to que against people that are in teamq. teamq is a completely different level than soloq and it wouldn’t be fair at all to have a night where I am playing and I keep getting stuck in soloq facing teamq Heros.

I would like to see rankings of soloq vs team q again. I am much more impressed with someone that can maintain a 70% win rate in soloq than a 70% win rate in teamq and I would watch their Twitch channel and be awed that they could “Herd Cats” better than anyone else in this game. That is a new dynamic of skill that impresses me…….skill and leadership…wow.

Don’t get me wrong…it is cool watching the team dynamics on Twitch. But I would personally rather watch a soloq leader focus a soloq team and win against the odds every time.

Cos MMR is for you matchup’s and leaderbord is for leaderboads

leaderboards – measure of how efficient is your bot at farming ranked 24/7 :/

a 44% win rate gets you in the top 25 if you play enough.

Backpack only queues with his esports buddies so he only gets +1 everytime he wins because he probably has a 99% win chance

Lexi only solo queues so she gains 2/3 when she beats premades every now and then
Also gains +1 when she queues against a strong premade and still hits the point threshold

Because you were expected to have a 90% or more win rate in all of those games, where as the other players are in solo queue facing against premades and are expected to lose and end up winning.

I would really argue anyone over 50% win rate that is not rank 1 shows a broken system, not the leaderboards themselves.

If you’re expected to win against the entire playerbase, should you expect to be higher on the ladderboards?

Also that last line makes no sense.

Backpack is exactly right, but only if he just plays against people In his MMR bracket.

If his top, experienced team is matched against uncoordinated, new, inexperienced players, such a league makes NO SENSE unless you ‘handicap’ the Match by giving the noobs Ladder points for a loss where they score a respectable amount of points against terrible, crushing odds.

You want to play a few games a week subbing for the abjured or whoever and be recognized as a “top player” for it. Try branching out and playing with some different people instead of sitting in ts waiting for people who can carry you to log in.

No good player likes the current leaderboard system, but if it puts a dent in Backpack’s sense of entitlement at least something good has come of it.

You clearly don’t understand… No one should need to be playing 20 games a day to show they are the best… And as you pointed out, no top player likes these leaderboards. And BTW I don’t get carried, sorry you are so salty … In fact a couple of those wins are vs the abjured

Lol there is a problem when everyone seems to know lexi a ranger who doesnt seem very good and is on top of the leader board. I didnt take his post as arrogant i took it as i have a perfect record and hes not not on the front page. Im having a problem witht he leader board cause its called the LEADER BOARD and the better players should be at the top not the ones with the most games played.

Also if you see someone at the top of the leader board and you see them in pvp you can understand that you will lose cause there a premade or really good. When you beat lexi a supposed bot it doesnt really mean as much.

This is the mentality that anet caters to and it is rather sad tbh. I can’t be the best, reward me for playing alot. They shouldn’t even give out rewards for the test season because you don’t need to be a skilled player to be a ‘top player’.

And even if they did fix solo que rating so that only the “good” will be high rank, it’s still not going to change the fact that solo que will be RNG.

To be honest, if you people wanted actual boards that show skill, then ANET would need to make a 5v5 leaderboard. But no, because of ANET’s screw up in the past and bad reputation it’s going to be hard to get people to play this game to even make a 5v5 leaderboard.

You want to prove you are the best? Then win only against the best. Decisively and often.
