I’d like to hear the community’s thoughts on what the optimal team will be when the Pro leagues start again next week.
I think Elementalist, Revenant and Mesmer will still be in the teams but what about the rest? Have Scrappers or Necromancers fallen below the threshold? If not, how will the builds have changed?

2rev 2mes and a healbot…maybe druid. Thats meta, rest is esl no stacking rule and picking a otherwise unviable 5th.
The pick should be between thief or necro if ele can babysit him.

The comp 2 revs 2 mes 1 druid is very strong. With the amount of moa/burst/cc from both Mesmer/Rev, they can easily shut down the other team and kill one in split second. Basically, the whole comp is extremely mobile with a lot of CC/immob/Daze/moa. This comp hard countered Ele since they have at most one Armor of Earth.
Current rule is u can have only one of each class afaik.
Mesmer, Rev, Ele gonna be mandatory, druid will be almost obligatory and then what we have left: warrior, necromancer, engineer, thief, guardian. The first 2 will use mercenary if they are ran and thieves will be D/P with headshotspam. I’ve seen some condi engis streaming albeit Idk how good they are.
There is no question here. Mes, Rev, Druid, Ele, (Random). Every one of the people on those classes will be using the exact same build and so will whatever the random class choice is.
This game just does not have a real meta where you can make different team comps. There is a single best comp and thats what will get picked by every team in every game. Just poor competitive design with only conquest basically locking the strategy before the game even starts.
Mes rev druid ele and either warrior, engi, or thief depending on team preference…if thief.rev will be condi, if warrior rev will be damage, personally i like engi or warrior for the better sustain

I dont think warrs have improved that much, its just that everyhing else is bad also.

The adrenal health buff for warrior was a huge boost for the survivalbility of warriors that with the damage increase making lb viable again, and the boost to stomp makes playing warrior as fun as it was pre-hot…also demolishers ammy mixxes real well with the high damage potential

Warr is obv way better than before, but I dont think they are meta potential. Maybe theres some build that happens to be broken, but I’ve not seen anything like this so far.

damage increase on nothing is still nothing, only physical damage matters on lb is 3
adrenaline health buff did nothing but making it a bit more tanky but seriously, it does not fix warrior’s survive, what’s gonna die still gonna die..and that’s not the reason why warrior sucked and no teams picking it..demolishers?why..it’s the same as marauder but toughness…demolishers might be better, but won’t be game changer either

I still feel like necro puts out disturbing amounts of AoE condi pressure and boon corrupt which they are unrivaled in. “Rise!” is also one of the most broken utilities in the game giving them ridiculous amounts of survivability from just one skill, so I don’t know why people think they’re so easy to replace. I feel the only thing that will/should change is instead of engi and druid being interchangeable, druid is favored.
Thief could jump in as they are capable of forcing revenants to swap traitlines and farming druids, but idk if it’s worth dropping a necro for.
