As this will be an add-on to spvp i take it we won’t be able to duel in our normal gear? this makes me a lot less excited due to the fact i much more prefer duelling in wvw than i do in spvp, but of course we have to organise duels in wvw ourselves. I knew some sort of add-on was coming to let us 1v1 but i thought it’d be a sort of “send a duel request anywhere” sort of thing, maybe im wrong? maybe it is being put in that we can duel in our own armour? from what i’ve read nothing sounded like we could not do apart from an option to “lock armour” in matches, does this mean we choose between normal armour or spvp armour? or is it just an ability to turn off spvp amulets etc, i’d like for someone to get back to me, thanks.

ah, well that put a downer on my day, time to spend hours making a warrior spvp build that doesn’t actually suck against 50% of professions, i think its pretty impossible.

The only reason you prefer Duelling in WvW might be that your gear and buff-food compensate your skill. Think about it….
The standardized gear is the advantage of GW2 over other famous MMO’s and give it the chance to become “real” esports. Really, if you beat a person in sPVP you should be able to beat him everywhere else.
