Do you guys think it’s possible this season with the current changes? I know most people are still in the first 3 tiers but what is everyone’s thoughts? Is it worth trying?

Compared to last season this time it will be a piece of cake.
Last time I did it 100% through SoloQ and without these changes in Meta i doubt i would tryhard it like before.
On top of the Meta changes they changed how pips are distributed, which will make it even easier, especially if you’re decent – imho.
I got to legendary through solo queue last season so I don’t see why it will be impossible this season. If anything it looks like it is going to be easier based on what I have seen so far.
yeah, since everyone is amber right now just queue until you start seeing esl players or whatever. then give it a break for a week to let the people youre better than catch up and beat them into submission again.
its a race, but even a walker can finish a marathon.
Legendary should be way easier to get this season than last so you’ll get it if you play enough.

Not everyone, I’m seeing emeralds and sapphire in the lobby’s now, but yeah there is still a sea of amber.
I think it is possible, if you are decent and play a lot of games. While you can’t profit from 3 pip per win, you also don’t get silly MMR matchmaking. There is also win streak reward so it is not bad.

From my experience this past week, soloq is actually easier to reach legendary with than with a full team…
yes, very likely. also this time no more players getting carried by bunker mesmers. i seen few warriors at amber and emerald then they banished when i reach sapphire. RIP my poor warriors.
Easier than last season for soloQers, because people can’t play the system anymore. (eg. legends queueing with ambers and facing sapphires)
I find it a lot harder i can’t progress from Sapphire t1. I’ve been Diamond ( close to Legend ) season 1 by only solo q.
I stuck in Sapphire tier 1 now. System put me in team with weak players that just doing low damage, die every 1v1 cant win 4v2 4v3 fights also they don’t really know what is teamplay and help teammates, enemy players 3x faster at supporting fights so its end up i defending alone a point vs 2-3 while teammates doing something and we only have 1 cap that iam defending alone. its not single player game, but they play like it is. enemy team get better players that play together and focus one down while my team hitting everything with their 0 dps. I call that balanced teams at Sapphire..
