I tried to fight, but because of a person and give up and failed, this is how stupid game rules

Yep, the pvp only cater for cheaters and abusers. This is like holding a kitten sign says “This is only for cheaters and exploiters game.”
It is not Anet fault, it is the players who wishes to buy their rank to the top, an illusion for the brainless lot.

I wouldn’t blame the players. Anet encourages match manipulation with duo queue. They designed pvp so that a majority of matches is one sited. There is no incentive to keep playing if you are in a matchup where you arent able to scrore even 100 points. I don’t see the point in getting slaughtered again and again just because of a failed match making.

tbh i was thinking the same thing. Whilst I appreciate using something different, this possibly is a l2p or a build issue.

Im sure someone could give him pointers for builds to help him going forward.

While I agree about SoU (only useful in voicechat-using 5-mans) and Lich Form, Dagger MH is a good weapon, on-par with greatsword. Just depends on how you use it, though obviously not good on a condi build.

Crinn didnt mention anything about the afker. Only that he would have more luck in matches (this includes non 4v5s) if he used a better build. Hell he doesnt have to use a meta build but at least use one that makes sense.

While I agree that his build could use improvement, it’s kind of cruel to imply that if only he played better he could’ve won this match. That’s not the case. Helseth tried to do a 4v5 in bronze league and he barely won. And that was with a partial 5v5 since there were a few times when nobody on his team was DCed. And OP is probably not as skilled as Helseth, nor is the skill differential anywhere near as great.

4v5s are unwinnable for the vast majority of us and it’s demoralizing to be penalized for something completely out of your control. Anet can in fact figure out if someone has not been moving for X period of time, if you don’t believe me then just go to any hotjoin and stand there doing nothing for a minute.

That doesnt mean anything, I got Gold 3 from running core warrior this season before reaching my limit.

That is also not the point of his thread.

If this was phanta running core F/A ele in plat 2 you wouldnt be able to tell him/her what build to use. So skill set aside they are trying to point out campers/afk players i believe.

We all know this isn’t the only thing. Granted if said player has not already made multiple posts about different negative topics then yes I concede Crinn would be wrong to say something about the skills he’s using. If you think he was rude your free to think away. Just seemed like a more experienced necromancer giving another advice. He didn’t just discover some new crazy build we all know he WOULD improve both his immediate game and his experiences down the road if he just used something better than that. Doesn’t even have to be a meta build. I don’t play meta builds top often either but I do well enough.

But why bring this up when it’s irrelevant to the post? Everybody could improve in multiple ways I’m sure, but in this case there was an AFKer, he lost because of it, and Anet could certainly do something about it if Huolobo is being truthful and the person did just literally AFK. That’s the topic, that’s the problem, not this dude’s potentially unoptimized build. Also I might be defending him partly because he’s unintentionally hilarious and I want him to keep posting.

OP isnt complaining about his/her rank. They are not complaining about the people on his team when it comes to skill level. They are complaining because they are literally doing nothing.

I mean if your stance is what crinn said i guess any ESL player who came into the forums could say L2P and you would all have to just accept it because they are experienced and mechanically better.

For instance seasons 2-4 alot of people have complained about DH’s, Five Gauge came onto the forum and told people that DH isnt a problem at high levels and its a learn to play issue.

Big problem with that side is not everyone can play at that level and some dont have the time to learn how to deal with such a easy spammable build.

Compare it to basketball. If you like to play it, it doesnt matter who you play with just as long as your playing with people around the same skill level, ability and understanding of the game.

If your a average ball player at your local gym, you shouldnt be playing college, NBA players and you shouldnt be playing kids k-7.

All im pointing out is that what was said is not on topic or relevant.

OP: Are you on the primary ArenaNet controlled game or the China server variant? I ask because many rules and settings are different for the Chinese variation of GW2 and not all of those settings are controlled by ArenaNet.

They are asking for advice on how to avoid getting afks. It could very well be a result running a subpar build and not understanding how to use it. If you run a thief that constantly trys to tank team fights, run as a necro and constantly solo push far, or play any toon and “guard home” the entire match even though they aren’t pressuring it you will get more salty players on your team. Once the team starts to lose the odds are a lot higher you will have someone on your team give up.

thats china client guys. lol meta is drastically different there than in NA or EU
