I entered a practice match for my dailies, the team i joined from the very beggining started winning and guess what? The enemy scrubs start ragequiting and the volunteer icon pops up. i Dont want to go so i dont press volunteer since i guessed the one that joined last will have to go but guess what? Surprise i find myself on the scrub team 3vs5. Forcing people to go to the baddie team because they cant handle it is really bad. No wonder pvp is trash in this game

its practice mode, what did you expect? Trash in, trash out.

Dailies can be done in a single ranked match anyway, except the profession.

This “practice” mode should be a mode of its own with 0 rewards and points since it is supposed to be practice. They should make a quickmatch option where you jump in but also have to face consequences when leaving. I shouldnt have to pay because people get salty and ragequit to not get killed by finishers

If you're playing to win, this is a free "win so the match can be balanced."

If you’re playing for fun, this shouldnt matter.

If you’re playing to scrubstomp, tough.

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.

Anet has tried to stop people from stacking teams but it simply hasn’t worked(removing ranks did nothing). I don’t understand it myself, when I play hotjoin I’m just there to play. But I’ve consistently seen 7-8 people sit on spectator mode waiting for a team to gain a decent lead before joining. Maybe if you join then spectate you can’t join again? And once you’re spectating you can’t get any points. Would that work?

Autobalancing is a symptom. The problem is so many people leaving matches.

While there will always be rage-quitters and such, I suspect a lot of the times people leave hotjoin matches right now is due to the profession win dailies. With such an all-or-nothing criteria for them, there’s little point continuing to play out a match where your team is “obviously” going to lose.

And once one person leaves, the losing team is even more likely to continue losing. So the rest of the players on it have more incentive to leave as well. It’s an unfortunate but fairly obvious consequence of having too much emphasis on winning in a mode that has no penalty for leaving.

If A.Net would revise the win-based dailies into something different that actually counted partial progress during losses, then I believe the situation would improve.

the trick is not taking hotjoin seriously. I don’t even go for caps when im in there.
